When I use NLite to integrate this driver into the XP files I used to build my UBCD4win cd and enable the mass Storage driverpacks.net database, then build the boot cd, I get a blue screen of death when attempting to boot up a lenovo T410 laptop.  The bios is set to the AHCI HDD mode.  If I disable the Driverpacks.net Mass Storage DB, then build the boot cd, the cd boots the computer fine.  However, even though I also integrated the wireless and LAN drivers into my XP files using NLite, I can still enable the WLAN and LAN Driverpacks.net DB's and the boot cd will find the network controllers.  If I use a fresh set of XP files, unmodified, and enable the mass storage DB, the cd won't boot the laptop in the AHCI mode.

Is there an older iaSTOR.inf in the driverpacks.net mass Storage DB that may be causing an issue or is there a place where i can upload these drivers to be include in the next release of the MS DB?  I suppose you can also download them directly from Lenovo's website also.  Thanks.

Re: Lenovo T410 Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver

the MS DB I am using is the 9.01 version, if it matters.

Re: Lenovo T410 Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver

Do NOT use nlite for drivers.

Re: Lenovo T410 Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver

Never use anything except a CLEAN source for UBCD4Win
XP SP2 PERIOD! no updates no drivers no patches no nothing!

What is the HWID of the device?

Slipstreaming stuff into your source will absolutly KILL your UBCD4win disk...
there is a correct way to add drivers to BartPE... but, that is not it

i realize you said it worked... I can run a motorcycle on turpentine too, for a while... but the end result is disaster.

We would prefer to fix the pack so everyone benifits, HWIDs required

Re: Lenovo T410 Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver

Haha, been doing that for years and has worked without a problem until I wanted to also use the new Mass Storage DB.

Re: Lenovo T410 Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver

that should work right out of the box..

clean  source with default ubcd4win settings

Re: Lenovo T410 Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver

clean source, updated Mass storage and LAN and WLAN db's and burned to dvd.  DVD bluescreens on bootup, yet from the same build, I created a bootable flash drive and it works fine.  ISO image is 894MB because I updated some of the virus and spyware apps and threw in known good partitioning plugin of my own.  This is with version 3.50 of the UBCD4win.  I'll post this on the UBCD4win site also.

The DVD gets past the Now loading screen and after the Windows XP Splash screen, it blue screens.

A Problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

ETC, ETC....

this is the same problem i described above and the only change i made to the build at that time, was disable the mass storage DB, and threw the NLDRV folder from the Nlite XP build into the Bartpe/I386 folder during the build process that contained the downloaded Intel Storage driver, burned to a DVD and was able to boot a Lenovo T410 laptop.

Strange that it works on a flash drive, yet not a DVD however, unless it is some sort of file system problem i am running into.  But rest assured on this last attempt, it was a clean XP source.

Re: Lenovo T410 Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver

again you should not need to update any DriverPacks... it should work without any updates...

What versions did you use to update DriverPacks with?

Re: Lenovo T410 Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver

Base version is 8.12.5 and the mass storage DB is 9.01, the LAN and WLAN driverpacks are at 10.04.1 and 10.03 respectively, which are the only packs I have loaded.

Still had to disable the Driverpacks.net Mass storage DB and drop the actual drivers into the bartpe drivers folder in order to boot up a T410 laptop.  Dropped drivers for T410, T61 and T42 model laptops into the drivers fodlers and they all boot up fine now.

Don't know what else to tell you, but it isn't working using the mass storage DB.  Even the Flash drive started failing in the same manner as DVD after awhile.  The reference computers I tested on are physically fine and were brand new.

Re: Lenovo T410 Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver

I'm having the same issue (blue screen after) with a Dell Optiplex 980 which also uses Intel's RST... Q57 chipset I believe.  I'm trying the disable mass storage and will report back results.

I'm using Bart PE 3110a and driverpacks base 10.06, massstorage 10.06, lan 10.05.1 and wlan 10.05.1

update:
The bios has 4 options for storage setup:

Auto raid/AHCI
Auto raid/ATA
Raid on
Legacy

I tried on all 4 settings with the mass stor plugin disabled and the intel rst f6 drivers in a folder under pebuilder3110a\drivers\SCSIAdapter\
Same bluescreen, gets through the initial loading screen, then windows logo for a little bit, then blue.

All masstorage are "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller".
Try plain windows files, don't add another drivers.

Which blue screen do you get at all?
