Topic: Help creating DriverPack
I have followed the post by Wim Leers on how to create DriverPack. I have not had any luck.
I used driver grabber to pull the drivers from my system. I then added them to a directory
-D
-3
-D (for Desktops)
- 690
-A
-N
-V
-hdc
-media
-650
-A
-N
-V
-hdc
-media
-L (for Laptops)
-630
-A
-N
-V
-hdc
-media
-8200
-A
-N
-V
-hdc
-media
ETC....
I used 7Zip to archive the directory with the following name DP_Drivers_wnt5_x86-32_10_01_28_V2.7z setting the settings the same as in the tutorial..
I then placed the archive into the 3rd party driver packs.
I then used the DPs_BASE.exe folder to slipstream the drivers. I picked the location of the intsall files(I386 Folder). Picked the Driverpacks I wanted, 3rd party and mass storage drivers in text mode. I use Method 2 for the slipstream method and use the GUIRunOnce method for the finisher.
The driverpacks slipstream successfully as reported by DPs_BASE.exe and by verifying the driverpacks are in the OEM folder. The slkipstream process renames my driver pack to 8.3 format as reported in the log. I edit the winnt.sif file to add additional entries under the GUIRunOnce entry.
I use nLite to create a bootable ISO.
I burn the ISO using DeepBurner.
When I run the install disk Everything appears to work normally windows loads and reboots. After the reboot I see the DriverPack unpacker appear and unpack the MassStorage files and then blink when it gets to my DP. The computer finishes the install and reboots. After logging in and allowing the GUIRunOnce to complete and rebooting. The drivers for the system do not install.
Any help resolving why the DP does not install is greatly appreciated.
