Re: [REL] [x86, 32 bit] ALL DriverPack's Repacked

Are these DriverPacks ready to become official DriverPacks? Complete and stable enough? It's super easy now to make new DriverPacks and I'd like to move these DriverPacks more into the spotlight smile

Re: [REL] [x86, 32 bit] ALL DriverPack's Repacked

What about IEEE-1394 (FireWire)?

Re: [REL] [x86, 32 bit] ALL DriverPack's Repacked

I thought firewire was natively supported...

Re: [REL] [x86, 32 bit] ALL DriverPack's Repacked

Should be, my FW external HDD worked without having to install anything.
In fact, it didn't even prompt the ususal "new HW found, installing drivers" (that are supplied with XP) message you'll get when you hook one up on USB.

So much for being a superior interface wink

Re: [REL] [x86, 32 bit] ALL DriverPack's Repacked

Hello,

Re: [REL] [x86, 32 bit] ALL DriverPack's Repacked

Hi there, I'm new at the driverpacks, but because some PC's I have to install just can't handle Windows 7 yet I'm also creating a XP CD. This thread however seems a bit out of date. I'm not trying to wine or anything, I'm trying to help and searched for the 3rd party driver packs:

Bluetooth:

Latest = http://3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.co … -32_910.7z
But...problems reported in thread with the pack.

Broadband:

The pack is from April 2004, isn't that a bit old? And where is the thread? Maybe needs a new impulse?

HID:

Latest = http://3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.co … 2_90813.7z
But...some requests have been made since, and it has duplicates with the misc pack.

Modem:

Latest = http://3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.co … 2_90831.7z

Monitor:

Latest = http://3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.co … _908130.7z

TV:

Latest = http://3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.co … 2_90915.7z
New forum thread = http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=4000

USB:

The thread is dead and the pack old...needs a new impulse?

Virtual:

Some problems reported in the thread...is this still updated?

Webcam:

Latest = http://3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.co … 2_90904.7z

Misc:

Latest = http://3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.co … 2_90909.7z
Links in thread are wrong.

Phone:

Old pack...update needed?

Canon Inktjet & Laser + HP Printer + Scanner:

Old packs...updates really needed.

LAN:

I found this one in the 3rd party directory, it's up to date :-).
http://3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.co … 2_91001.7z

Hope this helps and correct me where i'm wrong!
And then the obvous question: will there be any updates for the outdated 3rd party packs? An expert in the house who's up for it?

You don't have to tell me that, I've read a lot at this and other forums and understand that it's all about the users input. Having said that, the message i wrote still holds, the links in the first post are outdated and a lot of packs have also outdated. Now we both agree that this is because a user abandoned the pack, I still wonder wether there is some driving force on this forum to get experts on driverpacks together again and update the packs. Or have all the users migrated to Windows 7?

To be absolutely clear: many many thanks to the volunteers that have created these packs until now, they are very handy :-).

Re: [REL] [x86, 32 bit] ALL DriverPack's Repacked

We are just happy they stop by when they do... And we simply say thanks.

I personaly would not put anyone on the spot and ask them to commit to anything, like a deadline. Personaly, I don't belive that just because someone donates a pack they are some how bound to it forever have to keep it current. Especialy when they get paid nothing.
They donated it to begin with is not that enough?
(That makes them a hero in my mind, and I do see that you recognize the fact in your post)
(they were not abandoned, they were donated as is. With no promises)

They volunteer when they can and I say thank you.

I consider it brash to say hey when do you think you can get around to updating these packs?

Look at it this way - If you don't have time to update a pack, then who will?

I would like nothing better than to see them all updated too!

Thanks for the Props, and Welcome to DriverPacks!

Re: [REL] [x86, 32 bit] ALL DriverPack's Repacked

I agree with you :-). Offcourse ;-). So we will have to wait untill an expert needs the packs again and has the time to update the pack for us all. In the mean time we can focus on windows 7 :-).

Re: [REL] [x86, 32 bit] ALL DriverPack's Repacked

Does the 3rd drivers packs in the 1st post of the current thread include the latest driver packs or there is another thread to get it from?

Re: [REL] [x86, 32 bit] ALL DriverPack's Repacked

Where can I get all latest 3rd party drivers packs to integrate it into my source as long with the other driver packs?
