Topic: Dell M3640, pb with SATA drivers

Hi everybody,

I've a Dell M3640, and when I want to install WTrust 4, I must insert a floppy disk with specific drivers inside.
The DP_MassStorage have these drivers, but in the correct version.

So I tried to create my DP_MassStorage. But it's not good, and I don't know where's the problem...
This is my .ini file:

[DriverPack]
platform="wnt5_x86-32"
name="MassStorage"
; version 901r3
classes="hdc,SCSIAdapter"
rootdir=""
driverCount=

[A]
ms_count=1
ms_1_deviceName="NVIDIA nForce 630 SATA/AHCI"
ms_1_tag="nvgts"
ms_1_sysFile="nvgts.sys"
ms_1_hwids="PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0036,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_003E,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0054,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0055,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0266,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0267,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_036F,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_037E,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_037F,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_03F6,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_03F7,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_03E7,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_044C,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0558,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0559,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_055A,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_07F8,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_07F9,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_07FA,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_07FB,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0AD8"
ms_1_isBusExtender=false
ms_1_exc_disableIfOS="w2k"
ms_2_deviceName="NVIDIA nForce RAID"
ms_2_tag="nvrd32"

Re: Dell M3640, pb with SATA drivers

If i understand correctly...

You need the "F6" floppy drivers...
We don't have and don't use any F6 drivers (txtsetup.oem)
you need to get F6 floppy drivers from the OEM (Nvidia or your manufacturer) and create your floppy

However, if you are useing the DriverPacks to slipstream your drivers into an OS installation Disc that should work...

Re: Dell M3640, pb with SATA drivers

Thanks for your reply smile

I'm already use the "F6" floppy drivers. But the problem is my computer don't have floppy disk, so every time I want to install Windows, I have to disassemble my computer and install a floppy drive just to install.

So  i thinked that I can do it with DriverPack. smile
You think I could integrate these drivers in installation Disc?! But how I can do it?! Where is the problem in my .ini files

Thanks a lot for your help smile

Re: Dell M3640, pb with SATA drivers

use the DriverPacks mass storage pack as described in the tutorial. Link in my signature below.
Use DriverPacks BASE, select mass storage text mode, slipstream...
Have you tried this?

Please also read "Read BEFORE you post"
By including the details outlined in that post

IE where is your DPs_BASE.log?
