Topic: [SLV] Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

I looked at the devices section of the mass storage but I couldn't find these drivers. Here is the link where you can find the drivers for the Video, Chipset and Mass Storage. Please could you add them to the corresponding packs?.

Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows* XP (exe)  <-- This is the video driver

32-bit Floppy Configuration Utility <-- This is the mass storage driver (there are several)

INF Update Utility - Zip Format <-- This is for the chipset.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [SLV] Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

yawn, the packs have all those drivers on board and more....

Re: [SLV] Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Re: [SLV] Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Have you even tried the packs and noticed those drivers were not installed?

I'm also very positive they are included.
The listing on the page you referred to is not 100% accurate, complete or current...

The best idea is to try and see.

Re: [SLV] Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

it is ridiculus to ask us to add something that is already included...

don't knock it till you try it

and you obviously havent tried it...

I'm going to defend the original poster here because he did exactly what a new user should do; before downloading all these packs, see if their hardware is supported and RTFM - and WOW! Can we say that device list is old for mass-storage!?! I wouldnt fault anybody for asking what can be perceived as wasteful questions if they had already referenced the official documentation!

For reference, your hardware uses the common IaStor drivers which have been supported for a long while now. The latest v8.6 I believe is in the latest nightly pack, not sure about the latest (and old) official DP for MS.

OK. Thank you for your undestanding and your answer. Next time I will just ignore the documentation (very useful huh?)

Re: [SLV] Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

No sweat, everyone here is a volunteer with Real Jobs and Real Families........

My meager contribution is being able to test on about a half-dozen different laptops in the office IT lab (4 dells, two Lenovos) as well as my home machines (1 C2D, 1 C2Q and 1 ancient Athlon 3000).  You guys who have the skills and patience to code the packs and Base have my admiration and respect.

Re: [SLV] Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Your contributions are anything but meager...

My apologies to Gonzakpo
for failing to be nice
and for not recognizing that at least you attempted to help yourself
and you provided links to valid working drivers.
That is doing way better than the average OP. big_smile

Thanks for pointing it out newsposter.

This is what the OP was referring to: http://driverpacks.net/DriverPacks/devices.php?pag=m

Still has 2003 driver info smile

Re: [SLV] Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Yup that is the list I updated. F5 sir...

Or do you mean that driver was not updated on the last round?

Re: [SLV] Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

OK the info is correct in the changelog for mass storage
- [I4] Matrix Storage 09/12/2008,8.6.0.1007
         in the D\M\I4 folder

I wrote a tool recently to dump the info directly out of the packs and into the php format we need to update the page.
(writeing a thousand lines of php by hand from info in the 166 folders / inf files is a little tedious. that is how Wim used to do it - that guy can type up a storm wink)

it appears the tool i wrote has skipped a few infs / folders in mass storage...
I will check that out right away thanks for posting
