Topic: remove unused / un-needed drivers after OS install?

Hi and thanks for looking.

I'm new to driverpacks and slipstreaming them via DP base, but familiar with nlite.
Im not having any problems really, everything went smooth.

Anyways, I noticed on my first install with all of the driver packs, my XP SP3 install was about 2.1 gigs.

Then i decided to included my own massive collection of drivers...about 1.2 gigs worth....im sure some where duplicates but im not worried about that.

Anyways, on my second XP sp2 install, with driverpacks, and my own drivers slipped, i ended up with 3.9 gigs on the drive after the install.

obviously a huge difference... 2.1 to 3.9 gigs.

Im just wondering if there is a way to delete all the un-needed drivers after the OS install or something like that.
preffereably automatic smile

that extra 2 gigs of useless drivers is driving me nuts!!.

Thanks for looking,

any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Re: remove unused / un-needed drivers after OS install?

don't use nlite to add drivers...
don't select KTD with DriverPacks...
problem solved...
