Tried to download LAN804 - went to a page with comments about a leech warning and incomplete graphics on page - no way to go any further.
again?
it worked.. now it don't.
What I saw a few seconds ago is like "work in progress'
Bâshrat the Sneaky said he will get the mirror issues sorted.
I found this link which also has the driverpack files

stoner - it is out but only for msdn subscribers the masses have to wait till the 29th
thanks for new link working perfect and overflow sp3 has been on majorgeeks for download for days now
major GEEKS is not Microsoft just because somebody posts a file does not mean Microsoft has released it.
I can go and download a copy of server 2008 from MSDN and post it too. that doesn't make it a released copy. (it's stealing)
If someone on major geeks used their MSDN account to get the file and then post it they have broken their agreement with MS and have risked their MSDN access to do it. (and potentialy could get MG shut down - Like autopatcher was)
It is a public release when ms says it is - and that is on the 29th - PERIOD
read it yourself here --> http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/wind … 3a761.aspx
If you can't get it from MicroSoft then it ain't released is it?? (it is STOLEN / PIRATED not 'released')
ARE YOU STONED?
PS by the time you finish argueing the point with me it will be released
Have to fully agree, I would never install a Beta on a clients PC. However, I have no problem installing a Beta on my test rig.
The torrents have a terrible reputation for including a "little present" i.e. Spyware, Bots, Rootkits etc.
I get my Beta's from my local MS rep, they are clean.
Overflow is correct, stay away from dubious downloads, they may crash and the programming team thinks it's a problem with their code.
I am pretty sure it is valid, majorgeeks is a fairly reputable source.
they have just leaked the msdn subscriber file...
I was arguing the difference between 'Released' - vs Leaked, Stolen or Pirated.
Available is different than Released.
When I Refer to a "release" I mean an official release by the OEM, in this case MS.
Thanks BB you da man!
I don't know when exactly the download link for LAN 804 started working, but yesterday I sent a mail to Jean-Philippe.
I got reply after midnight 1.44 (belgium is GMT+1)
He must have recieved this after bussiness hours.. and took action.
so, I don't know who fixed the download.
(our files now have three sources, but Jean-Philippe changed his main page.).
But, it started working and it probably started working as soon as Jean-Philippe fixed his links.

The torrents have a terrible reputation for including a "little present" i.e. Spyware, Bots, Rootkits etc.
This is why you should always check the hash sum of such files with the hash given by the official releaser (MS did include SHA-1 hashes in the filename for the SP3 RCs).
Also, the files by MS contain a digital signature; there is an MS tool that can validate that signature and thereby confir them file is unaltered.
Just FYI

Thanks Helmi - always a pleasure to have your input.
It's my pleasure, too.
Anyway, here's the official link from MS's server for the English version:
http://download.windowsupdate.com/msdow … ebfde4.exe
The long figure-letter code in the file name is once again the SHA-1 hash.
It has been withdrawn (can still be DL'ed when I checked) because there is an issue with the Dynamics Retail Management System, which is said to only affect companies that deploy it (do no bummer for the average Joe).
Read more about it here:
http://www.heise-online.co.uk/news/Micr … s--/110635
In the last few days, we have uncovered a compatibility issue between Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS) and both Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1). In order to make sure customers have the best possible experience, we have decided to delay releasing Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) to the web.
Delayed... It's Quite refreshing to see ms hold somthing back so they can make sure it is solid.
I hope it is a new trend rather than a fluke.
