I would't like to request an addition to the Modem driverpack.
The driver is downloadable on http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/A6R … 060526.zip.
With downgrading from Win Vista HP to Win XP pro, the driverpack didn't install this modem. The notebook where it is installed is: Asus F3SR (X52Series).
Hardware ID is: HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&DEV_3055&SUBSYS_10431316&REV_1007\4&2C2AA05&0&0101

I will take a look later to see what I can do, I haven't really dabbled much in merging INF's, however this driver is newer than the existing Motorola driver and is missing many of the old ones.
that is always a tough one...
i suggest not modifying the new one (thus not breaking its signing)
and not modifying the old one either if they are both signed then the newer version should win out when appropriate.
If they do conflict (they shouldn't in theory) fix by removing the HWID's from the old one that exist in the new one.
this will break signing (probably) on the old one which is probably ok it will likely be seen as the best match even unsigned.
the only way to be sure is if remy007 or someone else with the device can test and report back

I think the driver you link to is incorrect. This Device is not supported under the given driver.
however, the correct one should be the correct ASUS Driver v6.11.06
6.12.07 is available from directly from Motorola and does include your HWID. I will pack a new Modem Pack with the newest Motorola drivers for you to test

I will asap test the pack, i'll download it now. From Saturday till Wednesday i'll be in Germany, i'll test it when i'm back. Because i'll take the Notebook with me.

This modem DP is broken for my Gateway laptop now. A Motorola driver with generic HWIDs got added back in to \D\3\M\M\2\

Long time ago I promised I would put the modem pack though the filtering process, because modem drivers can mess up sound driver install.
I have not forgotten that promise.

it is a Third Party DriverPack so you can actually add it, test it, and when it works you could then upload it for us to review.
