Topic: [TEST] Broadcom NetXtreme II GigE VBD INF for Windows Server 2003

When I use the driver pack with Unattended, I get an error saying unable to find the file:

wdfcoinstaller01005.dll, I have verified that the file is there.

At the moment this is stopping me from being able to install any Dell 2950's and is causing a real headache and weeks of anguish, any help would be appreciated.

Re: [TEST] Broadcom NetXtreme II GigE VBD INF for Windows Server 2003

Can you tell us if this driver installs if you update your device manually?

you can find it in the lan pack under D\L\B3\

the inf for this driver is very strange
the sections are not standard
and the destination folders don't seem to be correct either.
furthermore the file that is at issue is not 8.3 compliant...

very strange... i dont think this driver is valid...

if the manual install fails (and i belive it will) could you please post a link to the driver that does install this device.

Re: [TEST] Broadcom NetXtreme II GigE VBD INF for Windows Server 2003

It pops up asking me for the location of "wdfcoinstaller01005.dll" and when I click browse it takes me to the correct location, however it cannot see the file.

If I use the Dell install disks to perform the install it goes through no problem and the Network cards installs.

In answer to your question, I have to wait until the OS is finished building then I am able to manually install the drivers using the files in the driver pack.

I am having no issues with any other hardware combination, just the NetXtreme II card with 2950.

The file in question, "wdfcoinstaller01005.dll" is part of the Windows Driver Kit.

I might look at writing my own driver for this card. Unless anyone has any suggestions for this.

Re: [TEST] Broadcom NetXtreme II GigE VBD INF for Windows Server 2003

it makes sense that it might install post setup as the 8.3 nameing will probably not be a factor then.

i still think that we need a newer / updated unit to include in the pack...
