I'm having a similar problem, however my SATA controller is an NVIDIA nForce 630a (MCP67/68), which according to the stable release notes is supported. I'm using DP MassStorage in a BartPE environment, and the system will not boot from it, giving a STOP error 0x7b. According to MS knowledge base, this is due to a storage controller not being detected properly. I've tried the disc in an nForce 410-based system, and the disc will completely boot into a BartPE environment.

one fix that will Come up has a correction in Nvidia.
I hope to finish tests before nightfall (GMT 20.00 today) and then you people get to test it.
I would like to get 802 released before monday.

I should have asked for the BSOD stop code.

I updated the link in my signature.
Please redownload the HWIDs tool, and try that.
(it is the same version Helmi uses)
We will want the output for sound.

it will pop a notepad window, and then you save as..
(bewaar als, en dan plak je die txt in een nieuwe topic in sound forum.)
Then post about the sound issue in sound forum, and paste the HWID txt.

This i have downloaded (a tool to collect HWIDS) but only this came up,

kan het bestand C:\docum`1 huppellepup niet vinden

Txt stays empty.

I most make a new install,i think that by cleaning up install just everything went remove.
what jou guys needed..

Have i the ride tool (save_hwids) heb ik wel de juiste bestand

I still get a STOP error 0x7b with the new nightly build you provided for me. I know the official NVIDIA driver set includes an AHCI and a SATA_RAID driver - perhaps one is missing? If I knew more about how this package system worked I'd lend a hand in the project.

Please let me know if you need any further information then what's already been provided.

I don't have a link to the driver set right now, but you can obtain it from NVIDIA's website - look up the drivers for the nForce 630a. I've tried slipstreaming it with PEBuilder for a BartPE disc, but when I try to boot from it, it either gives a STOP error, or claims that files are missing.

This is a *very* weird problem. I've never used NVIDIA chipsets before, however I've never had problems with the nForce 410 or 430 chipsets with installing SATA support...

Hi.
The link above was killed because that particular file was to test a solution for maverick, and it did not work.
The other fixes we discussed here are included in the 802 release.
For 802.1 release the mass storage INI re-introduced a load order for silicon RAID what we used before and it apparently worked best. However, when a user trying to remove a section to replave the folder and INI section with files he got in a SFXMinipack told me he did not find the section, I put them in alphanumerical sequence again. (That seemed possible because we was then thinking the &CC_010* tagging would fix that sort of misery.)
I thought of this after I put 802 up, and did not want to update this without people knowing there was a INI load order change. (Wouldn't want to do a silent update because of issue mentioned in the post about TXTmode file not found post.)

OH, and the maverick testfile gave no problem for you, that is good news.
That means I did not completely break the VIA Txtmode by editing the pack's INI.

The answer was 42?
