Topic: PROB: BSOD after slipstreaming Driver Packs

I have an nlite unattended install and slipstreamed DriverPacks using latest version.  I'm using method 2 since method 1 doesn't seem to work.  I get BSOD on reboot after install completion - a screen flash (i don't even see the message), and machine immediately reboots.  This will continue even in Safe Mode.

Re: PROB: BSOD after slipstreaming Driver Packs

To read the bsod you have to halt the system.
To do that make a new reg file with the following :

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl]
"AutoReboot"=dword:00000000

Call it something like : bsod.reg
Place this reg file into your $OEM$ folder
Open your cmdlines.txt and ad this : "REGEDIT /S bsod.reg"
Now do your setup again , and it will halt at the BSOD so you can read the error.

(thx bashrat for this trick)

Re: PROB: BSOD after slipstreaming Driver Packs

Thanks for the reg edit to stop the immediate reboot

The BSOD I get is STOP: 0x00000007B (...)  error

I have Graphics C and WLAN slipstreamed

Please use code tags next time. What mass storage controller do you have? It seems it is not yet supported by the current DriverPacks. If you've got an a-brand pc (Dell, HP, ...) then please post the model name. If you've got a custom built pc, please post the name of the motherboard.

Re: PROB: BSOD after slipstreaming Driver Packs

Mass Storage controller???? I am not sure about that...!! My PC is custom made and my mother board...is Intel D101GGC..!!

Help meeeeee..!!

Thanks and Regards,

The BSOD I get is STOP: 0x00000007B (...)  error

I have Graphics C and WLAN slipstreamed

It is no doubt for me. The 0x00000007B error is about mass controller.

Re: PROB: BSOD after slipstreaming Driver Packs

This is interesting since, I've already nlite integrated my Intel SATA drivers before slipstreaming the drivepacks.

Mine seem to point to the Graphics drive packs but I don't know (I have an Nvidia Quadro card).

Re: PROB: BSOD after slipstreaming Driver Packs

well..well...well....i finally did it..!! used nlite addon maker 7-Zipped the drivers specifying the setup.exe as the main executable file (Chipset, Graphics, Audio individual zip files) ran the nlite rc1.08 and integrated the drivers then used the UXP.exe for regular unattended installation stuffs...merged all the addons...and bingo...works damn smoothly...!!!
But i am not completely satisfied as this can be used only with the system i currently have...wish there was a solution of the sneaky drivers pack...!!

Mudvari

You are aware that the final is out and 1.0.1 is the latest version, right?

Just making sure..

Re: PROB: BSOD after slipstreaming Driver Packs

yeah...i knew...but was kinda lazy to download it...you know, dial-up...sucks, man!!! but will surely now...!!

Thx

Re: PROB: BSOD after slipstreaming Driver Packs

It's just ~1MB so even with dial-up it's not too much to cope with.
The bugfixes are certainly worth the, err, wait wink

Also, if you don't mind, how do you proceed once a new DP has been released?
Those things weight in a couple of MBs alright...

All DriverPacks together... that's the same as downloading nLite a couple of hundred times wink
