Re: DPsBASE AutoIt Error

Hi Xusen,

I got the same error when trying to slipstream to Windows Server 2003 SP2. But with XP SP2 German and SP2 MUI everything works fine. I've slipstreamed only LAN- and Massstorage packet.

BR, Elix

Re: DPsBASE AutoIt Error

Hey Elix
I am glad i am not the only one (not glad that it isnt working for you though), hopefully we will get some help from the devs soon.

Thanks

Re: DPsBASE AutoIt Error

hi

I hope Bâshrat the Sneaky or overflow reads this soon.
here is a guess.
Method one, with all those packs (WLAN is HUGE), will reach the path string statement limit of 4096 characters.
My guess is that this error pops when that happens. (it normally tells you that this limit is reached, and I do not see that in this log.)

The answer was 42?
Kind regards, Jaak.

Re: DPsBASE AutoIt Error

Yeah, I'm with Jaak on this one.

Basically, you should only ever be using M2.
There's virtually no reason for M1 anymore (unless you're troubleshooting a problem with M2 maybe), the amount of drivers is simply too vast as if M1 could cope with that.

Is there actually a specific reason why you switched to M1 (seeing as M2 is default anyway)?
Just curious...

Re: DPsBASE AutoIt Error

I'll get right on it.
it shouldn't be tough!

Re: DPsBASE AutoIt Error

Helmi - i always used to use it so i just thought i would continue with what worked for me. i have tried method 2 and it seems more efficient and it will be my method of choice from now on.

Overflow - Thanks for the fix, i will try it once i get to work on monday.

Re: DPsBASE AutoIt Error

Hi
well, M1 has its use, because it can be used for repair installation.

BUT, M2 can also be used for repair installations once a reasonably simple command has been added to presetup.cmd.
I think we ought to have the repair possibility in M2 as well and I am going to make the request.
