I received this error today and when I went to inspect the $OEM$ directory there was a file named $1, which obviously is not a directory.

Also note that I selected Method 1.  I did this on purpose so that the BASE would not delete my presetup.cmd.  Also I only selected to do Mass Storage Text Mode integration.  I did this on purpose so that BASE would not try to do anything to my source regarding hotfixes.
