Re: [REQ] 3Com 10_100 Secure NIC (3CR990B-97)

Nice update to the preexisting DP_LAN driver (DriverVer =08/30/2003,3.00.00.0005)
Direct link http://h30316.www3.hp.com/prdownloads/1 … y=file.exe
Driver in 10_100_SECURE_NIC_v.4.1_3CR990CDv4.1.exe\English\Update\Source\ is DriverVer = 08/16/2005,3.00.00.0023

; EL99x_NT.inf
; Windows 2k,XP,and Windows 2003 Installation File

Seven files are referenced in the Security Catalog:  3c99x.dll, el99xnd5.sys, el99xn51.sys, el99xn5a.sys, el99xrun.out, el99x_nt.inf, & el99xn5i.sys

I have aboout 100 of these machines, and they keep failing.

This leads me to questions the underlying hardware.  Not the NIC's, yet the mobos & power supplies.  See this post --> http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=5579

If your machines are as old as the NIC mentioned, you may want to start looking towards possibly EOL'ing them in the future.  It may be cheaper than trying to refurbish all of them.

Re: [REQ] 3Com 10_100 Secure NIC (3CR990B-97)

That is the plan, but since they are in a large production facility, and to make a change takes months or years to get approved and tested I need to be able to boot and access the machines to repair hard drive failures.

Re: [REQ] 3Com 10_100 Secure NIC (3CR990B-97)

Have you tried to build your BartPE with the DriverPack LAN plugin?

if so what DriverPacks BASE version and Lan version. If the LAN plugin fails then post the HWIDs please.

Please read "Read BEFORE you post" linked in my signature. This will outline a proper request for support post.

if you have not added the BartPE Plugin then there is a Tutorial link in my sig for BartPE plugins.
(it says only mass is supported but the tutorial is older... LAN IS now supported... the instructions otherwise are quite valid)

there is also a link to the HWID's tool to obtain the HWIDs of the NIC.

Looking forward to assisting you.
