Topic: Download problems

Not sure if this is the right forum...but...
I am unable to download most of the driverpacks.   I CAN download dpbase, chipset, graphics a and cpu but not the rest of them.  The files start to download and end before the stated file size is achieved.  When the download ends, 7zip and universal extractor say the archives are unsupported.  Tried with IE and firefox and on several different computers.

Re: Download problems

Yes i am seeing issues with the graphics b 9.06 and the language pack...

I thought it was jsut a bad upload on those two since I just did them...

What other packs did you have issue with?

Re: Download problems

I've also noticed that the packs 'DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_901.7z', 'DP_Sound_A_wnt5_x86-32_805.7z', 'DP_Sound_B_wnt5_x86-32_805.7z' all have a different name, however they all contain the contents of 'DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_8121.7z'.

Everything else seems to be functioning perfectly smile

EDIT: Seems to be fixed now, thanks for all your hard work. It is much appreciated!

Re: Download problems

Guys, it appears as though both of you are having caching problems somewhere along your internet paths.

This is commonly, but not always, caused by mis-configured download managers.

Re: Download problems

I think one of the many CDN servers may have hiccupped...

we haven't had a single issue since we started useing them a year or more ago...
One of their servers may have glitched or perhaps each of us hit a bad router somewhere.
I don't cache my downloads or pages...
Since only a few people reported it I don't belive it was a system wide issue, but was isolated to a few of us that drew that particuar server or route.

Since the issue is resolved I suppose the reason becomes somewhat less relevant wink

Re: Download problems

You have files which are not supported to winzip.
You can upgrade your software online. That is only problem.
Once you get update, you will able to open that file.

Re: Download problems

We don't use WinZip.  We use 7-zip.

Re: Download problems

umm...

what is the difference between a Ford truck and a Toyota truck?
what is the difference between Solaris and red hat?

difference between red and green? (they are both colors ain't they - Duh)

OT questions are not appreciated, I don't see where you were having DL trouble.
Nor that you had any other DriverPacks related comments for that matter.

Google 7zip and look it up, we are not your mom and are not going to hold your little hand. LOL

read this forums rules - especially posting guidelines wink

if you can't find http://www.7-zip.org/ and read their home page on your own you don't need to be here. (your not ready)

Re: Download problems

Well,
Sometimes the user have to upgrade it's version, Might be the same fault u have. So upgrade your win zip and get current version. Enjoy!!

Re: Download problems

If you are going to update WinZip, you might as well upgrade to 7-Zip, as it's more powerful, faster, better and everything.
At least in my book.

Oh, and it's free, too.
