Topic: Why extract ALL driverpacks..?

Hi there, now that I am renewing my uACD, I see the installation of the drivers is taking a lot of time because all driverpacks that I have integrated are being extracted. I wonder why driverpack Graphics B and C is extracted when I install on a pc with a Ati videocard? Same goes for Sound. Is it not possible to check the videocard type and soundcard type before extracting? It would save a lot of time...
Just an idea. I suppose the part of the program that extracts all the drivers would need a big update. And I do not know if it is even possible.

Re: Why extract ALL driverpacks..?

the answer is pack extraction takes three minutes and since we target UNATTENDED installs we don't care
(we arn't watching, (that would be an attended install))

It is possable it just is not neccessary... if all the drivers get extracted then we won't miss any wink

It is also possable that determining which drivers we need and only extracting those might take longer.

PS Windows does not always pick the driver we think it will wink
