I am glad to announce Driver Import PE now supports DriverPacks

Driver Import PE, add Drivers to PE after boot (not before) to PE environment.

You can add mass storage, gpu, sound ... drivers to PE

Not haveing to rebuild with pebuilder to support new hardware...
and useing DriverPacks as a source...

Looks like Lancelot beat me to posting!

Let me explain a little more fully:

Driver Import PE is a program which runs under a PE environment -- BartPE, UBCD4Win, LiveXP, etc. It's intention is to install drivers to the PE so as to get functioning devices be they networking, mass storage, sound, graphics, etc. Drivers may be installed to the PE system from:

- host OS (ie, the offline system residing on the computer if one exists)
- OEM drivers from specified location (harddisk, usb, network, etc.)
- DriverPacks .7z archives

Note: PE must have writable %SystemDrive% which may be achieved by adding FBWF (for CD-based PE) or SDI (for ram-image-based PE).

BartPE plugin may be downloaded from here and WinBuilder script may be download here.

Now your PE can still get working devices even if the PE is built without the necessary drivers!

This is a great tool to have in PE environments. Do you know if this works with the infamously troublesome nVidia network drivers? If so, that would be great for me to use on the BartPE I use at my job. Thanks to everyone involved in all of the hard work in making this tool.

I'm not sure as I don't have that hardware to test.

But what I do know is that I've been testing for the next release of Driver Import PE and it works well for my SigmaTel audio device. Before there was manual steps necessary such as copying INI files to a particular path (different for different SigmaTel drivers, though) under %ProgramFiles%. Now it is just a one click install, either from offline host, driver INF, or DP .7z pack.

New Version of "Driver Import PE" is now downloadable from kare's website
You can get Driver Import PE pebuilder plugin (BartPE, UBCD4win, XPE, SherpyaXPE, ...) from: http://www.kare-net.de/Plugins.htm

LiveXP users can get updated version by simply downloading new script from LiveXP server. (Click download on winbuilder)

Driver Import PE V1.3.1.8 New features:

I wish to use this plugin with BartPE, but I can't get to download (the page shows 404 error on THAT file).
