bashrat:

i wrote me some vb6 applications which could interest you wink

the first is a new setup.exe:
this is like the old one from your pack but i have written it bymyself in vb6 and it doesnt need the original setup.exe because its starting the setup api smile this one starts firs a presetup.bat from system32 and waits until its finished and the same at the end with endsetup.bat

and then i wrote a SetDevicePath.exe:
this one runns only if you start it with the folderpath to all subdirectorys which contains your extracted drivers as a parameter smile and this has own written vb6 "devcon find pci*" intus that means its not needed to use devcon to search the hwids! after collecting the hwids its searching in all *.inf contained in the subdirectories of the parameters path and add the path into the registry if a match is found!

i run it at presetup.bat and all is working really good with my wpi install. but just extracted drivers! not 7ziped. but you can run 7zip first to extract the drivers (presetup.bat)

so.. what do you say smile?

i could tell you 2 mainboards maybe.. but the first one could be damaged now because its not starting only beeping (seems to be the gfx card or the port.. dont know) and the other one could be soundmax and i can send you the hw-ids if you need

yes but thats no solution! when you try to reinstall the missing sounddriver on a installed system the bluescreen is back!

as the title says..

almost every time i try to post something and klick submit then a error page occures! when i click back and submit again (text is still there) then its working

i'm using IE7

i had this BSOD too some times when i repair computers.. but only when the onboardsound is enabled (every time realtek ac'97 or so

i cannot give you a real solution because i have non other than disable onboard sound and use a soundcard

would be great.. but why didnt you say me this in my last e-mails ^^? there i asked something like when it will be and sent you some other new ones

hi

i already send this package a few weeks or months ago to bashrat but he dont answer longer and dont import them into his driverpackage.. so i post it here smile

in the net i found a little package with maaaaaaany networkdrivers.. i figured out which are already in the driverpack or are newer. and the result is this pagage of drivers which should be included into the driverpackage of bashrat.

http://rapidshare.de/files/35972454/Netzwerk.7z.html

i hope bashrat will react now and include them into the next release^^

i created a installation with the massstorage drivers (textmode) included and copyed the new .sys files in i386 to another folder because i need them for a WINPE image which i'm working on.
and after expanding them i saw that 12 of these compressed sys files have another name if they are expanded!!!

so my question is why do they have different names when they are extracted?

here the 12 files:
3WARE78K.SY_
AHPT3XX.SY_
3WARE9K.SY_
3WARE95K.SY_
614X.SY_
AADPU320.SY_
AFTX2K.SY_
ATI3112R.SY_
IASTROLD.SY_
PNP949R.SY_
RHPT3XX.SY_
RR404.SY_

yes i know that i cant install catalyst 6.8 (damn ati...) i use catalyst 6.5 and the wdm drivers from them (extra package)

and i use the driverpacks not with the "driverpacks base"..
i extract them and use my selfmade tool and with my selfmade setup.exe to search for the correct drivers in the dir with all the extracted driverpacks folders and it adds the correct paths into the registry ^^

works perfect but there are no wdm files for my card.
i have to add them into the dir by hand

here my hwids for my card:
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4966&SUBSYS_4F721002&REV_01\4&3600494A&0&0008: ALL-IN-WONDER 9000
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_496E&SUBSYS_4F731002&REV_01\4&3600494A&0&0108: ALL-IN-WONDER 9000 - Secondary

ps: thx ^^ good to know

hi

i have a ati all-in-wonder 9000 and it needs the ati wdm drivers that no unknown device is in the device manager.

so plz add them too ^^

if you use a german xp then use my german updatepack: www.updatepack.de.vu
if you use an english version of xp then you an use ryans updatepack: http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack.html

they will slipstream all hotfixes for you into the cd.
my updatepack contains 260 updates (only for german os) for windows xp sp2 no double hotfixes wink

i have the same problem on a pc which i should repair! no gfx drivers are installed and nothing between catalyst 5.1 and 6.8 does work!
i was not able to find any driver for this gfxcard (laptop)
