Please update the WLAN pack with the latest Ralink drivers.

Apparently, the Planex USB adapter I have and posted about here:

http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=2986

is a Ralink RT7x card (find out in Ubuntu) and uses the "USB (RT2870/RT2770/RT3070/RT2070)" driver on the Ralink download page in addition to the drivers on the Planex page. I tried them on a clean install and they worked perfectly.

The current Ralink WLAN Dpack drivers (from 2006) do not support my Ralink card and imagine other more recent Ralink rebadged cards as well.

Thanks

Thanks for the explanation. I changed the title to request.

Modem drivers for the Dell Inspiron 9100. Currently, the modem pack gives an error on install (can't remember the error) and installs the wrong driver. When you go the property page in device manager there is an error sound and eventually the properties page loads. The incorrect driver which is installed by the current modem dpack is for the Motorola SM56.

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24D6&SUBSYS_4D6414E4&REV_02\3&61AAA01&0&FE : Motorola SM56 Speakerphone Modem

The driver which should be installed is the Broadcom,

PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4401&SUBSYS_81271028&REV_01\4&3A321F38&0&00F0: Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24D6&SUBSYS_4D6414E4&REV_02\3&61AAA01&0&FE : BCM V.92 56K Modem

I'm guessing the conexant driver is for other modems of the Inspiron 9100, because that driver has no function on my system.

P.S.

I don't know what [IMPL] stands for but I am guessing it is a request to add a known driver to the driverpack.

I checked the FAQs but it didn't say what that abbreviation means.

Please clarify.

Thanks

Edited to [REQ] since I now know what [IMPL] means tongue
