That's correct: I used an Italian build of XP both for the 8400 and 8600 because they were meant for users who don't speak English. I use the English build for myself, that I used for the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600. I still have to test the 806D pack there.

Found the solution in an Italian forum! The device corrensponding to the HWID "ACPI\WEC1023" or "ACPI\WEC_1023" is a "Winbond HID CIR Receiver" (Infrared) and may be installed using this driver. This may be helpful to someone else who will use Google to find this device
Which one of the 3rd Party packs would be more suitable to include this kind of driver? "Input" I guess...
In general, when a driver is suited for the inclusion in a pack and when is not? I mean, I guess not all the requests are accepted... or maybe yes? If not, on what criteria they are accepted or denied?

The HWID of one of the not recognized devices is "ACPI/WEC_1023" but I haven't found anything regarding that using Google, except for a site in Russian which unfortunately I don't understand
