yeah it was a 'mod' one DP_Modem_wnt5_x86-32_702mod.7z

if I manually search after its all done (when new HW wizard prompts), it does find and install it in new pack - seems to be a problem with more and more hardware that this happens?

I was previously using the modem pack Fragbert had modified and now just replaced with this one.
Am now getting problem with 'HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP' not automatically getting installed.

I am running the finisher with sysprep/mini-setup so its allready had makePNF and devicepath ran, hence the oem \inf entry.

Looking further back into the log, it appears makePNF didn't 'run'? on all the dir's, especially not on \1 and \8 where the .inf for this hardware is??
Is this an issue?

I appreciate to you driverpack gods these are probably simple/basic questions, I have looked around but really can't find any answers...

Helmi, could you be abit more explicit in what you mean?
In sysprep I have
    UpdateInstalledDrivers = Yes
    DriverSigningPolicy = Ignore
(although I thought this made no difference since SP2?)
makePNF has ran so presume thats not an issue either.
Why does every other unsigned driver work fine except this?
Thanks for any insite into this

still no good sad have now got log file output
I think the Intel graphics drivers are completely not working as also used my latest build on a GX270 with onboard intel and that now doesn't work either (was always ok previously)

They both got ranked 2001 [Matched one of the device's compatible IDs with the hardware ID in an INF Models section.]

Yeah all KTD'd, still never takes more than a few seconds on other devices that dont work, this was a full hang of the wizard (system not responding type) for a literal 10-15 minutes (I only left it in that state as was doing somehting else at same time, why was so amazed when after so long it sprang into life)
Anyway it still doesn't detect during the setup phase sad

From what I can gather above they both ended up ranked a001 and then it picked the non-Dell one as date was newer.

following new hardware wizard will find and install driver but appears to hang for 10-15 mins

following new hardware wizard will find and install driver but appears to hang for 10-15 mins

I found following in,

http://download.microsoft.com/download/ … APILog.doc

Specifically, the #I180 and #E358 messages indicate that SetupAPI could not verify the INF file in the catalog file; SetupAPI logs this as an error because the installation is server-side.

...afraid its above my level of understanding

doesn't halt anymore but doesnt work still either sad

Hi,
I made a smartcard pack a while ago, its in the right place on FTP and I made a thread about it but noticed its not mentioned here;
DP_SmartCardReader_wnt5_x86-32_702.7z
...sorry i didnt make an md5 for it at the time.

Thanks for upload, have 8 x D820's to image tomorrow morning, so I hope it works too smile
There is a still a problem with the SigmaTel HD audio though..I have posted in the Sound thread but seems no one is active in it anymore?

Hmm no replies still, I took liberty to remove the existing pcl5 driver (sub-dir 01), then have added the latest pcl5 v4.0.0.0 (its been fractionally updated) and also pcl6 v4.0.0.0 universal drivers. Both dated 16-Apr-2007
I don't know if the newer pcl5 driver fixes problems above (not tried it) but presume will be same issues - maybe other people have had better luck with it?
Also in this release I left in the HP setup program incase anyone KTD's it and wishes to use it that way at a later date, only adds a couple of meg to size (both are untouched from extracted source)
http://3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.co … -32_706.7z

If anyone is interested the PCL5 'system' is meant to be more robust and less susceptable to crappy cabling/network than PCL6. (HP say if you get lots of PCL errors on printouts running PCL6 then to try PCL5 instead.)

G_A is presumably ATI not NVIDIA ???

The nv4 file is in Pack A, that hasn't been changed in a while, still at DP_Graphics_A_wnt5_x86-32_7061test4 that I used in this case, and doesn't work.

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7690&SUBSYS_102801C2&REV_1022\4&10575340&0&0001: SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC

D620 with above HWID does not detect audio with current packs.

(Driver is in pack here DP_Sound_B_wnt5_x86-32_707.7z\D\S\S\D\3)

Hi,
Am confused now with latest packs in Mr Smartepants thread! latest driver at present time there is
http://dev.driverpacks.thesneaky.com/dr … 07test2.7z
In it it mentions the old Intel drivers in I\8 that jtdoom put back, does that encapsulate the fix in this pack (that worked)
DP_Graphics_ … t_INTEL.7z or did that get unfixed with newest Intel additions??

Hi,
Seems to be a problem with D820's and latest graphics packs
Looking in setupapi.log its NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 problem (BIOS says its a Quadro NVS 110M)
this is a snippit from end of setupapi.log:

Pc then stays halted indefinately, have rebooted and then new addition to log ends in same way.

I repacked initial one with correct dir (before saw your post) and just tried it, still fails on
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2992&SUBSYS_01DA1028&REV_02\3&172E68DD&0&10: Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

I have uploaded the older INTEL test one (URL about 4 posts up) if you want to have a look.

Jaak, now works even less smile

Now both of these graphics bits aren't picked up..

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2992&SUBSYS_01DA1028&REV_02\3&172E68DD&0&10: Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2993&SUBSYS_01DA1028&REV_02\3&172E68DD&0&11: Video Controller

----
update, it appears to not have been packed right and ended up all in
C:\DP_Graphics_B_wnt5_x86-32_707intel_jaak2\D
instead of
C:\D

I hadn't nopticed until now as my 'to sysprep' is all scripted, so guess entire pack B was missing, d0h

Hi Jaak,
thanks for that, I created a new image with it last night I will try today on a 745.
The old pack is here for you

Just tried the latest Universal printer driver PCL6 from HP , and it has fixed all issues....
