@JakeLD

I'll test it tonight and report back tommorow, thanks.

@Skeptik

Can you post what kind of VIA Chipset is your Motherboard?

I was able to solve the issue(just this morning) for my motherboard Asus P5VD2-X (VIA PT890 Chipset)...

@Skeptic

Hope we have the same chipset...

I delete all entries of my mass storage hwid's in the V4 section of the ini [DriverPack_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32.ini] then move V3 section on top of other Vx section and made sure that all mass storage hwid's of my chipset are present in V3... then voila.

Hope this work for you...

@Jaak

Can you release test pack, for me test....

*edit 1/4/08*

You mentioned about VIA issue and reason... Kindly share your thoughts.

@OverFlow

Thanks

@Jaak

Took me time to reply because I tried to make sure that there's no hardware issue before I report back. I've checked all hardware then made the test and also move [V] around some sections in INI and also made testing on my cousin board b'coz we have same board.

Still its no go, it didn't detect the SATA harrdisk at Text Mode and went further to change harddisk from Seagate to Western Digital - just to be sure.

It did pass on Asus P5P800-VM and Asrock ConRoe1333-D667 and went further to test on VIA generic motherboard base on Intel Celeron 667 (370 Pin).

C2 Update?, I'm a bit loss...

Anyway I'll do with the MassStorage 712, post later since i"ll be flashing my bios.

@Jaak

I will do your recommendation and do some testing, I'll report back... I'll do testing on MassStorage 7127 nightlies...

@umapathy

It happened once lately BIOS (Phoenix-Award) didn't detect the harddisk but after restarting it detected fine with SATA Controller Mode set to IDE, I just tested to restart several times but still it detected the SATA Harddisk. I even tried to shutdown a few times with 5 minutes interval still the same it detected.

But I will try to test to set it to RAID and try to Install, if Text Mode Mass Storage will detect during Setup.

Although, there is available update for my BIOS but I don't want it to flash or rule out...

I greatly appreciate your input, I'll report back the results. Hang on....

@OverFlow

I was able to upload the drivers for Asus P5VD2-X and P5P800-VM:

ftp://dps_3p:dW5QyCp23WnL@3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.com/Asus/Drivers.7z

Thanks...

*edit*

Now downloading from your site....

@overFlow

Can't login to your ftp sites

"530 User dptemp cannot log in, home directory inaccessible"

I'm using Method Two, if you say, that I just can copy the MassStorage "DPM7092.7z" from OEM Directory and replace it to the OEM directory of new Unattended Setup that would be great for the time being while you work out the new nightlies/Pack --- GREAT!

But still I'm excited for the New MassStorage Pack/nightlies to be rollout. Kindly Post here if ever there's new rollout or testpack, I'll be willing to test it - including on the new PC arrive: Asrock ConRoe1333-D667 based Motherboard with Intel 945GC A2 Chipset (Intel ICH7).

@OverFlow

I no longer have the base packs... i only have the slipstreamed version I wish someone could give me a link to MassStorage 7.092. Zyx_Maiden has uploaded in Megaupload which is useless for me because downloads slot for Philippines is always full, hoping someone could upload in Rapidshare.

But still hoping for the new MassStorage packs or nightlies release with drivers for my PC.

@OverFlow

Man can't wait for the test MassStorage Pack, so excited that hope I could finally format this PC before New Year... this is the only time I could tinker, test and experiment without pressure from work and family.

Thanks you so much in Advance... [dude] Happy New year!

@Overflow

Yes I'm sure, i just couldn't remember which version of MassStorage. This unit (Asus P5VD2-X) been using this for about 2 years now.
I tried an old Unattended Installation and it detect the SATA Harddsik in textmode.

I've check my UAXP CD, the MassStorage is version 7.092, DP Chipset 7.101, DP CPU 7.401

Anyway I'll just provide with direct link from Asus Website.

@profp62

thanks but still no use slot for my country (Philippines) always full.

@Overflow

it's asking for username and password.

Do we have MassStorage nightlies after 7.127 to test...

*edit*

Oooops sorry dude, not use to ftp... got it, thanks.

@Zyx_Maiden

Can't download on Megaupload as its slot for Philippines is always full....

How about Rapidshare, if you don't mind.

@Jaak

How do I attached file on my post? or How do I email you with attachment?

MassStorage 7.12 including the MassStorage 7.127 nightlies release doesn't detect harddisk during Setup install on Asus P5VD2-X and P5P800-VM.

Also tried MassStorage 7.11 still the same....

Can anybody give me the link to MassStorage version before 7.11 -- Thanks in Advance...

So far so good on VMWare, DP Base 712b install fine with no problem, except for mass storage 7127 nightlies still not recognizing SATA Harddisk on Asus P5VD2-X motherboard, so I'll better try on another PC Asus P5P800-VM.

MassStorage 7.12 and 7.127 nightlies is a mess, not detecting SATA harddisk during Setup Install.... already post on Mass Storage Sub Forum Thread..

Thanks, Helmi

Since it holidays I have the whole day testing, i'll also try the nightlies mass storage since I'm having problem on Asus P5VD2-X, SATA Hard disk is not being recognized it says no hard disk during setup install.

I'll report back late in the afternoon (Philippines Time) since I no longer have an internet connection at home.

Merry Christmas to All of you. Keep it up....

Where do I download this DP Base 712b nightlies as mention on this thread:

    http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 13&p=3

Been away for awhile....

Well my Copy of Windows is English OEM Volume License.

BTW, This is the order of my Integration:

RyanVM Integrator + Addons
Nlite - due to WMP11 Integration (boogys Method) + Tweaks
DriverPacks + All Latest Packs M2 KTD

Tried Integration Driverpacks alone, still got those desktop.ini.

After integrating M2 KTD All latest Pack, desktop.ini appears in certain areas in Start Menu.
Is there an issue I,m not aware of? Or is there a fix? Or maybe I have done stupid things.
