re: dual boot oddity

I've heard of a similar error (but not driverpack related) that occurs if the install is preformed with the "quick NTFS format" option... 
I'm pretty sure I read about it on a MS KB article.  Something about the first sectors on HDD not being overwriten, rather amended...
then again I could be talking rubbish...

I don't know if this will help but....

I have a folder in the driverpack "working directory" called "F:\DP1\QSC\wnt5_x86-32_uni_DP_MassStorage_7011_textmode" which seems to contain all the files I mentioned (and more)..

I copied all of them into the finished i386 folder and built the iso again.

I've just installed the disc and it went flawlessly.... smile

No errors or file missing messages.


Did I do something wrong?

First of all - THANK YOU ALL for the great work - very helpful!  Its really appreciated!!!!

I have just taken factory pressed CD "Windows 2003 Web edition SP1" into driverpacks and used all the latest packs & base (downloaded 20 mins ago).

I see the same errors as reported above (*.org files present but not the *.sy_ )
I renamed the files with a "sy_" extension and the install went a bit further....
Next error I found was "ql2100.sys" missing  (fixed this by copying "ql2100.sy_ " into x386 folder from original CD)
Next error I found was "ql2200.sys" missing  (fixed this by copying "ql2200.sy_ " into x386 folder from original CD)
Next error I found was "ql2300.sys" missing  (fixed this by copying "ql2300.sy_ " into x386 folder from original CD)
Next error I found was "ipsraidn.sys" missing...

I have stopped trying to fix now as I suspect the errors are all related and the fix is easier than my current method wink
