um, don't the cardreader drivers belong in...?

Sigmatel WHQL driver v1.28 (from above) & smsc v6.2.6000.2 (fromhttp://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 086#p43086)
The first 2 packages have differing checksums on the 32bit .cat files.  I don't know which could show WHQL support, unless used in 7?

yes, i'm still looking.  I know you probably don't want to here it, yet, it's on station-drivers.  roll

Just a bit of (hopefully) constructive critiques:

If the ultimate goal is to produce a Win2k-XP.x86 DP_CardReader-Biometric Pack, should the ENE CIR driver accompany the win2k v2.6.0.0 ENE CIR driver &/or the ITE CIR driver(s) in the DP_HID pack?  (Two ITE CIR drivers - one for PCI devices, one for ACPI - more about the ITE CIR drivers in a later post).

The main DP page lists these drivers as supporting Win2k, yet the inf indicates XP support???  Maybe both of those would be replaced by the ENE CIR update v2.7.2.0:  http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 072#p43072  (play/pause button had been added for ENE0100)  Excerpt from the 'release.txt' in the 2.7.2.0 driver:

No dice updating the ENE cardreader drivers to v2.00.05?   http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 070#p43070  hmm

I see Intel & Infineon have TPM drivers in the Chipset pack, would the \D\3\X\AT\"Atmel TPM Device", & \D\3\X\B2\Broadcom TPM,  belong with 'Chipset'?  Same with the Fujitsu FUJ02B1 ACPI device driver v1.20 (v1.21 exists in chipset, & is WHQL).

Perhaps the D\3\X\D\ Dell Tablet PC Key Buttons driver would be more suited to the HID pack?

The HPQ004 device (HP Accelerometer) probably belongs in Chipset (DeviceDesc="HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor"), and the HPQ006.inf is in both Chipset (D\C\H\) & Misc (D\3\X\H2\).

The D\3\X\L2\ITM.inf "Intel(R) Hardware Reserved for Future Use" is actually a IntelTurboMemory device.  This looks like it was updated by D\C\I5\IaNvStor.inf in the Chipset pack.

The D\3\X\L3\tcusb.inf may be duplicated in D\3\X\U\tcusb.inf.  Perhaps the drivers from 'L3' could be incorporated in folder 'U'.

The D\3\X\L\IBMPMDRV.INF "ThinkPad Power Management Devices" could go into the Chipset pack.

Ummm, wouldn't the Jmicron IEEE1394 driver not be better suited to the chipset DP?

The Panasonic hotkey drivers look better suited to the HID pack.  The Panasonic 'misc' driver (ACPI) looks better-suited to the Chipset pack.  It has also been updated here:  http://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/public/sof … 071525.exe

The SunSquare USB-IrDA dongle probably belongs in the Chipset pack.  The dongle has the same HWID's as the later SigmaTel(acquired by FreeScale - a spin-off from Motorola) WHQL drivers here:  http://www.yedata.com/multi/drive/STIR4 … -24-04.zip  Ah, i see that the default transceiver-type is different between the two drivers.

The "Sony Notebook Control Device", "Sony Programmable I/O Control Device" could be in the HID pack.  The former driver was updated here:  http://s02.download.sony.com/US/pc/SODS … 100-US.EXE
The latter has been updated here:  http://s02.download.sony.com/US/pc/SODS … 000-US.EXE
The "Sony Image Convertion filter" might belong with Chipset?  It has been updated here:  http://s02.download.sony.com/US/pc/SODO … 300-US.EXE

The ST Micro Accelerometer & STMicro TPM drivers could go into Chipset.

The Toshiba F3507g Mobile Broadband adaptor-GPS drivers likely belong in a new separate 3rd-party pack for 3G & 4G, & GPS(Mobile Cellular Broadband & GPS).  The Vista-7 drivers could follow suit for Mobile Cellular Broadband & GPS.  If this is your conclusion as well, perhaps the 'Prolific - MS USB GPS' driver from the Chipset pack would belong in that new pack too.

The Winbond CIR drivers could go into the HID pack. (the division of Winbond dealing with CIR HW was spin-off'ed in 2008, now known as Nuvoton)
The Winbond TPM drivers could be inherited by the Chipset pack.

The D\3\X\I\ folder likely belongs in the Chipset pack, since most USB host controllers are in chipset.  This folder contains 'Wireless USB' drivers.  Info:  http://www.3g4g.co.uk/Other/Uwb/Wp/UWB_WirelessPAN.pdf
This may be an update to the driver:   http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc … xa18ww.exe  The version is numerically lower, however; the release date is later. http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc … xa18ww.txt

The WiQuest Wireless USB drivers could go into the Chipset pack.  WiQuest went bankrupt on Oct31,2008.  Their Bangalore, India development ops were acquired by Staccato Communications.  Staccato merged with Artimi less than a month later, to be called Staccato, then had a name change to 'Veebeam' in 2010(slogan: Wireless PC to TV link - the wait is over).  Here's how it's setup:  http://www.veebeam.com/pages/Setup.html
  There is an updated driver (v1.4.16.4) here for Toshiba,etc:  http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content … 28418B.exe
  There is an updated driver (v1.4.31.2) here for Lenovo,etc:  http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc … xa34ww.exe
            the Readme file:  http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc … xa34ww.txt
Setup info for the Dell Wireless 400 Wireless USB Mini-card:  http://support.dell.com/support/topics/ … egacy=true
You will need to keep the old driver, since the older driver has HWID's for Dell, etc.

Perhaps the Wireless USB drivers (Intel & WiQuest) will need to stay put in the 'CardReader-BioMetric-WirelessUSB' 3rd-party pack, due to the inclusion of the utilities in the D\3\X folder.

The ZTEIC Trusted Cryptography Module could likely find a home in the Chipset pack.

My hope is that since i have done some research on these proposed changes, that it would take a 'Team-Member' far less time to double-check & enact some (or less likely - all) recommended changes, if warranted, at their discretion.  I know the 'DriverPacks' have been great many years before i made my first post.  I am content to play a supporting role to those more knowledgeable & experienced, in the hope that this leaves them more spare time.   Thank you for your consideration.

This is probably not an issue with an older Jmicron (VEN_197B&DEV_2368) JMB368 IDE Controller driver (v1.00.00.00 in current pack MassStorage v11.01).
It is more likely an issue with the SB700 SATA Controller [AHCI mode] (VEN_1002&DEV_4391&SUBSYS_43911002&REV_40)
conflicting driver?---> D\M\AM0\amdsata.inf    v1.2.0.125 (win-all)
                                 D\M\AM4\amd_sata.inf  v1.2.001.210 (only for NT5.2 - Win2003)
I see this is the valid driver set for your mobo from msi:  http://download2.msi.com/files/download … ive_mb.zip
Yet i see an updated driver that you may have greater success with, already in the DPMS v11.01:
D\M\AM9\ahcix86.inf   v3.2.1548.37

I have no experience with Winbuilder.  I wonder if you have integrated any DP release with it.  :/

Are the 'known errors' still valid for the new pack?  I see the driver has been updated, just wondering, though.  hmm

Known errors:
x86\L\VIA\2\* Setup .inf errors during DISM integration.

I noticed in a changelog a while ago that there were(is?) known errors in the pack.

Known errors:
x64\C\Intel\1\NehalMEX.inf
x64\C\Intel\1\Tcreek.inf
x64\C\Nvidia\2\nf4sys.inf
Error - The driver package contains x64 boot-critical drivers, but the drivers are not properly signed.
Use the /forceunsigned option to install the drivers.

Has this been resolved?

Any word on the latest DP release doubleJ, cheche or markstrelecki?

Why delete, if the problem you had with this driver was your update methodology?
