i created a new driverpack with the following modifications to GraphicsB 10.05
*) extract DPGB1005.7z
*) create a section I7 in DriverPack_Graphics_B_wnt5_x86-32.ini as follows
[I7]
; BartPE Code
ms_count = 1
ms_1_tag = "I7_igxpmp32"
ms_1_sysfile = "igxpmp32.sys"
ms_1_exc_skipIfOS="w2k,wxp,w2k3"
*) copy I1 to I7
*) removed the IDs (8086/0042) from I1/igxp32.inf
*) removed all IDs from I7/igxp32.inf and left only 8086/0042
*) replace I7-drivers with driver-files from http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/Te … vc-79778-1
*) interesstingly there are some files left, which are aparrently not needed (not referenced in the inf-file), therefore i left that out of my package:
ig4dev32.dll
kit21695.cat
kit21695.inf
oemdspif.dll
*) create DPGB1005a.7z and use that
works for my system
hmm:
DP_Graphics_B_wnt5_x86-32_912 has no driver for
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0042&SUBSYS_304B103C&REV_02
this is the standard vga which indeed is better than the fallback (4bit).
just to sum up:
if i install the driver from HP (which works) and afterwards start the "Intel® Driver Update Utility" software from intels homepage, it tells me that where would be a newer driver, installs -> vga 4bit.
Maybe not an problem with Driverpacks, but if I use GraphicsB it installes fine.
But as soon as I reboot, I get 4bit-VGA.
If i try to change the resolution i get a popup stating, that this driver was written for a previous version of windows and therefore XP switched back to VGA.
Driverpacks (does not work):
/D/G/I1/
igxp32.inf
5/13/2010
6.14.10.5268
The driver from Intels Homepage does not work, too.
They still have:
3/25/2010
6.14.10.5248
The driver from HP (works):
sp46840.exe
11/9/2009
Graphics: 6.14.10.5179
the device ids:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0042&SUBSYS_304B103C&REV_02
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0042&SUBSYS_304B103C
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0042&CC_030000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0042&CC_0300
All those driver versions install fine, but only the last one works.
How would/should one react on this? Is this interesting for Driverpacks?
