LOL...
By comparison my OP is a technical genius wink.

him "you could have just told me that in your first post"
Me "I did. I told you that in my first, second, third and each of the other subsequent replies"

I am thinking to myself that I have never heard of "selective reading" before wink.

Well Detached program is not the answer... it runs in parallel with the setup... Not before setup. So it won't work

The method provided is the fastest known way to do it. if you were to extract them then it would take even longer. ODD's (cd/dvd) are terrible with transfer speed. the only thing slower than moving a large file from an ODD is moving a bunch of tiny files.

There are a lot of posts about this on our forum... the only sugestion ever submitted that made sense was to copy the archives to the HDD before extracting them... this saved about 10% even though the file copy is an extra step it was quicker to copy then extract rather than extract directly from the ODD. (I can't find that thread right now wink)

But the difference was slight. if i remember correctly it was like 12 minutes to extract from disc and 11 min to copy then extract.

So there is no faster way to do it...
We have been trying to improve this system for over five years without success wink.
there is no better system wink

We need the HWID of the device if it is not included...

We belive all drivers are included already. Please try it BEFORE requesting it be added.
(Just because you did not see it listed does not mean it is not supported)

If you do find that it is missing then you must provide the HWID's....

Use DriverPacks BASE to create a SAD folder which you can put on a cd/dvd an use on his PC.

Just run the dp_inst_tool.cmd right off the Disc. that should take care of it.

you can use the full set of drivers or just the LAN pack, Up to you.

No offence taken...

He is right I should have used my gifts, both to roll back time and to read his mind...

It is true I am getting lazy and my omnipotent powers should be exercised more... LOL

by adding mass storage textmode only. No changes are made to WINNT.SIF.

If Winnt.sif is not modified then you have a fully attended install... (includeing repair, region, OOBE).

If your functionality is not there then DriverPacks has nothing to do with it...

SAD must be run manually... (run dp_inst_tool.cmd)

I tried to install it on different pc's but got same error. Finally i installed windows from my previous DVD. it was installed successfully.

one line of useful info did manage to sneak in there... big_smile

You either have a bad disc  or  you have a corrupted download... (possably BOTH) hmm
Did you bother to verify the MD5 checksum and file size?
(I would have put a direct link <here> but you never have told us which pack version you were using) sad
Here is a link to the list. http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks
Perhaps you can guess which one you used but I can't. lol
if you used a nightly pack then I can go and look that info up for you, but again I am unable to read your mind. wink tongue smile

Dont tell me you went through all this, and then tell me that you did not verify the files and disc...
That would be quite embarassing for somone who touts themselfs as a banker looking after all concerns and IT issues of their department. wink wink

Sooo... what version and md5 / size is on your failed disc? tongue

Note the BASE and DriverPacks version numbers are included and specificaly which OS ("XP" "Pro" "sp3" "Danish").
although he does not include his logs he does tell us method two was used and includes the DriverPacks BASE ver and pack versions that were added. Please also note it was his first post here... ever.

This guy and you both provided details about the process...
http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=3906
but please notice he ALSO included both his logs and the machines HWIDs... in his first post.

I was equally unaware that there was a Sound B DriverPack for Vista?
I am also pretty sure that nLite does not support Vista...

If it is not too much trouble perhaps you might include details like what was the stop message for the BSOD...

IE BOSD = Stop 0000007b

Now since I clearly did ask, and you clearly disregarded, my quite clear an very consise directions you may now aplologize...

I am also going to guess you did not read the posting guidlines...

so i will paste an excerpt here

Although quite easy to use, the DriverPacks and the accompanying software form a toolset that is designed for use by advanced level users.
If you have not used the search feature of this forum, or Google.
If you do not include basic details
If you have not read the FAQ's or documentation BartPE Tutorial   DP_Base Tutorial
If you did not include your HWID's or DPs_BASE.log in your post
If you create a post that says "I am looking for a driver for"
(Especially if you have not used the DriverPacks at all.)

Then your welcome here may not be as warm and fuzzy as you might like.
The above mistakes are considered Noob like behaviors...
We are not and have never been a noob friendly site.
You are expected to already be familiar with everything in this guide.
    http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/
If you ask a question that is covered in that manual then you will receive a demerit.

If you will expect us to take our personal time to support you, then we can likewise expect:
a) You will take a minute to include good details in your post.
b) You will have already read our documentation and tutorials.

If one of the team seems to have been short with you...
Perhaps you should make sure you have been respectful / appreciative.
We are working for free.

well at least you are now in the correct forum...
(copied from here --> http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 39#p33039)

However cutting and pasting the original post was a really bad idea. It still contains nothing as far as useful info
I am going to guess that you were dropped on your head as a child, so I am going to write this slowly...

Read before you post http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?pid=4#p4
Check off each item in the list, one at a time, until you have checked them ALL off. Logs, versions, HWIDs...

Once you have actually read Read BEFORE you post AND provided the missing info then we will see what can be done.

I equate this to me asking you "
why will my vehicle not run? It's red and has black tires... I checked the air pressure in the tires. Please help me...

Clearly you would not have enough info to be able to help me based on that, would you?
I mean you don't even know if the unit is an internal combustion type or an electric wink is it a car or a motorcycle? what model, what year, etc...
Where would you start troubleshooting that? You can't, there is simply not enough info...

WAKE UP!
I gave you step by step instructions on how to properly provide that missing info...

at this point i am going to guess that it failed because you did not follow the directions. History repeats itself.

HI

today, I try to instal English XP in toshiba tecra a10 ptsb1e.

I integrate drivers packs in cd ans I instal, in first boot I have BSOD, but there is not ahci issue but I think it's another issue.

let me explain my self lol.

when I have BSOD, i skype from ahci to IDE mode in bios and I instal, 16 drivers packs are extrated normally but I found time very speed between 39 and 34, when instal finished, I have the surprise tha any driver are installed ( this notebook contains simple device like intel graphic card, realtek hd audio, intel wireliss card....)

so i think it's cause BSOD because HDD is detected in text mode but driver not installed like all others drivers.

so there are logs files

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?txgzgxnnjgn

so, anythings wrong with my intergration or my installation ??

tell me if i am understanding you correctly...

Well your probably right about the textmode / PnP Driver for AHCI mode causing the BSOD...
don't have the HWIDs for that mode wink - We might be able to guess tongue

Why the packs are extracted but then no devices are installed is very unusual.
It looks like the finisher found all the packs too...

Did you try the  OEM\DP_Inst_Tool.cmd  on your install disc... (SAD)?

Yes... absolutely - as long as DriverPacks BASE was the last change made to your source.

And by the way, I was talking about adding the fact that "selecting no driverpacks has for effect of unslipstreaming them" to the FAQ, but if you want to add more to it, more's for sure the better! smile
