After answering the statements and questions posted here last night and sleeping 'on the problem' and trying to figure out where the answer may be I finally worked out the solution.
First I must state that I had been working on updating two CDs; one for my XP Pro systemn and one for my XP Home system. So I started with a comparison of the two results. A major discrepancy was the Pro system update had folders \I386 and \OEM and the Home system only had \I386. Obviously, first clue as I knew the use of Driver Packs would result in the creation of the \OEM folder.
So, that led me to try to figure out this disparity and while it took a bit of head-scratching the answer ended up being one of paying attention.
When the RyanVM Integrator > Advanced called up DPs_BASE.exe I assumed all parameters and settings would be read from the RyanVM settings and, therefore, would be correct. That was the error. (Pay attention to what you're reading and doing, as I have said to others and had to say again to myself.)
Settings > Location > Select location of platform was still pointing to the XP Pro location and I had not changed it to the XP Home location. Why? Because when RyanVM > Advanced called up DriversPacks BASE 8.04.17.RC I just clicked on the Slipstream button, assuming locations had been read from the RyanVM Integrator and, therfore, were correct. Bad action on my part. (That's why the code was what it was.)
So, that's it. Sorry for all the turmoil and strife caused. Those posing questions and solutions I thank for their help and would ask everyone to remember what caused my problem and to file it away in your troubleshooting memory bank.
As I said earleir, I'm new at using the Driver Packs and I learned a lesson.
But, keep up all this excellent work.
