  this probably needs a new folder (N1 for example?)

the fujitsu drivers are for HWID's PCI\VEN_1217&DEV_7120, & PCI\VEN_1217&DEV_7130
     - an update for the 7130 may be this one (DriverVer=12/10/2008,1.1.1.315) here --> http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-fil … 135814.zip cool
the toshiba drivers are for HWID's PCI\VEN_1217&DEV_8120 & PCI\VEN_1217&DEV_8130

you may have already included the SmartCard & OC776 driver above, just in case though:

Another odd quirk:  D\3\X\O\O2MW2K.INF & D\3\X\O\O2MWXP.INF say 'Device list for all windows versions' on your download page http://driverpacks.net/node/549/drivers hmm

OK, i am begging & pleading for an update to the ene section, though.

Either-Or, thank you, Mr SmartePants, OverFlow, Wimmer & the whole crew; for making the best DriverPacks EVER for win XP, etc. !!! cool

KUDOS!

It's only been a short 4 months & this is my 200th post!!  Mind you, i missed a month after killing my main PC.

I would like to know what others think of my involvement.  Go ahead, spit it out, "I can take it" quote from Kurt Russell - Big Trouble In Little China yikes

sorry, perhaps it was the Vist-7_x86_64 drivers that were more up to date.

yes, indeed, it is an odd mix.  Your milage may vary.  it has taken me some time today to research, just to hopefully post pertinent info.  8GB MemStickPROduo support is a coup, possibly. (some sony models do not support with that driver & vista)

Quote from the movie 'They Live' with Rowdy Roddy Piper:  "I'm here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, & i'm all out of bubble gum!"

found update for TIFMSONY.INF to DriverVer=02/28/2007,2.0.4.7 here --> http://s02.download.sony.com/CA/pc/TIDM … 920-US.EXE cool big_smile
from http://esupport.sony.com/CA/perl/swu-do … roup_id=13:

This utility updates the Texas Instruments® PCI7420 Integrated FlashMedia Controller to version 2.0.4.7 to add support for 8GB Memory Stick PRO Duo™ Media

Station-drivers has these drivers not do they?  Hmm?

inaccessible boot device?  intel trusted platform?  AHCI?  two bays for SSD/HDD's?  RAID?  hmm.... BIOS update could have updated RAID/AHCI BIOS (& vid BIOS)  fresh install? no backup needed? not a critical-infrastructure device?

mind you these next web links are for the North American support, so your own country's support page may differ (the hardware may differ too, be double-sure & be forewarned)

curious; a quote from lenovo's intel matrix storage manager page:http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloa … D=DS000795

A Blue Screen error will come up on the Windows preload when these models boot with "Compatible" mode instead of "AHCI" that is modified from the BIOS Setup/ Config/Serial SATA menu. This is caused by an absence of a compatible driver on the Windows preload. Stay "AHCI" mode when you boot Windows preload.

further, it explains how to install xp:

NOTE: If you select AHCI for Serial ATA (SATA) in the BIOS Setup Utility before installing Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver, your computer will not respond; it will only display a blue screen.

    Power off the computer.
    Power on the computer.
    Press the F1 key to enter the BIOS Setup Utility when the ThinkPad logo is seen on the screen. The BIOS Setup Utility menu will be displayed. If a password prompt appears, type the correct password.
    Select Config.
    Select Serial ATA (SATA).
    Select Compatibility.
    Press the F10 key to save the new setup, and then select Yes.
    Restart the computer.
    Install Windows XP and Service Pack 2.
    Download Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver from the Web site and extract the driver to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\IMSM.
    Go to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\IMSM\PREPARE, and double-click install.cmd.
    Power off and on the computer.
    Press the F1 key to enter the BIOS Setup Utility when the ThinkPad logo is seen on the screen. The BIOS Setup Utility menu will be displayed. If a password prompt appears, type the correct password.
    Select Config.
    Select Serial ATA (SATA).
    Select AHCI.
    Press the F10 key to save the new setup, and then select Yes. The computer will reboot and Windows XP will start.
    The "Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard" appears. Click No, not this time, and then click Next.
    Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), and then click Next.
    Select Search for the best driver in these locations. Then select Include this location in the search:, specify the path, C:\DRIVERS\WIN\IMSM, and click Next. The "Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard" appears.
    Click Finish.
    When the "System Settings Change" window appears, click Yes. The computer restarts.

Windows 8 x86,x64,ARM to be outed by end of 2k12.  DriversPacks might need to eventually add new sections.
Good to look ahead to ensure DP's relevant even after MS is gone (perish the thought). smile

quote from http://arstechnica.com/microsoft/news/2 … rdware.ars :

ARM Windows won't include an x86 emulator, and as such will not be able to run existing Windows programs. It is, however, the same operating system with the same APIs, meaning that it should be possible to recompile existing software and device drivers for ARM Windows with few difficulties.

ARM device drivers (Hauppage, etc) need to be recompiled for new instructions(anyone have an OMAP4470, SnapDragon, etc. re-compiler?).  If only an 'auto-compiler' could be woven together - even if only just for x86 device drivers (usb peripheral - mostly).  I wonder also if the win8_x86_x64 could end up becoming a subset of Vista-7. hmm

Epson has printer drivers for 8 --> http://ces2011.techradar.com/2011/01/wh … windows-8/

Jungo's already got drivers for ARM, just not the OMAP4470; soon, soon --> http://www.jungo.com/st/embedded_usb_usb3.html

TICB2K.INF listed as for win-all, yet in the package below, it is in a folder (with .cat file) called 'Win2k'.  This is incorrect, no?

updated tiumflt.inf (v1.0.1.0) for Texas Instruments PCI7410 CardBus Controller, etc.
includes a driver missing from DP_misc v11.04 TIFMHDC.INF (v1.0.0.9) with a separate tifmicon.dll (missing icons for 106 - xD - probably not compatible with TIFMICON.INF)  the tifmicon.dll included in DP_Misc 11.04 will possibly work for both.

PS:  was any of this helpful for DP_Misc ? http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 521#p43521 hmm

i found an oem source for v2.14.00.05 (win-all) here if it helps --> ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp46501-47000/sp46999.exe big_smile
supports R5U23x/24x & R5C83x/84x
If these two driver packages update your misc pack, DP's will be more up-to-date than station-drivers (i'm finding this to be the case more & more as time passes - others maybe too). smile
Toshiba, lenovo, HP; just need a driver source from fujitsu, Sony, & Dell to make the list complete!

hold the press.... updated to v 2.13.18.02 Win-All x86&x64 here --> http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc … ss81ww.exe cool cool

DriverVer= 03/23/2011, 6.10.10.30 ; R5U822Desc="Ricoh PCIe SDXC/MMC Host Controller"

Say, would it be best for me to request this driver within the Vista-7 portion of the forum, or would that be unnecessary?

   These updated packs for XP are going to rock!  Mr SP!

This driver is for Atheros AR9170-based USB WiFi Adaptors (Vista_DriverVer=04/27/2010,3.1.0.135;Win7_DriverVer=04/27/2010,3.5.0.19)

This one's an improvement on the previously mentioned driver for the AR701x & AR9271 series (09/30/2010,7.7.0.98);  link to my vista-7 postulation here --> http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 681#p44681 cool=:D=:cool:

For the AR9170 series;  (xp_DriverVer=04/20/2010,3.0.0.168):  ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/wn111v2_setup_3.1.exe big_smile
   SourceDisksFiles,arusb_xpx.sys=0;  this file's missing AFIK, so no XP_x64 support sad

   Edit:  found the missing file for full 2k-w7 support from AirLive, whom had violated WHQL inf signing by simply adding their HWID.  I've reverted the inf files back to WHQL stock & added extra Inf files to support AirLive's new product: http://www.airlive.com/support/support_ … 2302744594      yikes      http://69.64.87.53/airlive_fileserver/u … 68_win.zip

    Edit: updated March 9, 2012 to include dlink dwa-160_RevA drivers v3.0.0.170, 3.1.0.137, &Win7-8 v3.5.0.21

here's a candidate driver to update the D-Link DWA-160 series, etc from d-link (xp_06/23/2010,3.0.0.170,vista_06/23/2010,3.1.0.137,w7_06/23/2010,3.5.0.21):  ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Wireless/dwa160/Dri … rs_180.zip  big_smile
   the extra files included are for the (rev.B) series of DWA-160, which have a Ralink chipset.

Testers, please post any results.

If at first you fail to check the hardware, secondly...thirdly... yikes
Bad caps, compounded by poor component-placement (as well as a flood of cheap, electrically-noisy, feather-light power supplies), were found in many designs from 2002 to 2007 (or so), mostly populated in high thermal zones.

DRAM failures are not always due to the module, per se.  Failure mode(s) usually follow from the power circuit the bad cap connects to.  Vcc for chipset -> POST issues, chipset peripheral issues - USB, SATA, IDE;  Vcc for CPU -> POST issues, random blue-screens, etc....;  Vcc for PCIe -> POST issues, Video memory Issues, etc...;  Vcc for DDR -> you guessed it, memory issues, POST, etc.

Many 'modern' boards do not necessarily adequately cool many parts of the motherboard, itself.  The only way to be certain (other than using a FLiR instrument) is to measure the temperature(s) of the board, preferably both sides.  A non-contact IR thermometer is ideally suited to verify that no component is unnecessarily stressed anywhere near tolerance.

I've added further HWID support for the RT2500 (PCI) & RT2500 USB chipset families.  This includes ALLWIN, Belkin, Linksys, Hercules, Nintendo-Buffalo, etc.  The original files are all intact; i've simply added .Inf files for missing HWID's to preserve WHQL status for the majority.  Asperusual, the ute is included forwtf.
RT2500 here --> http://www.mediafire.com/file/xtc76l7ct … 3.2.0.0.7z  big_smile
RT2500 USB here --> http://www.mediafire.com/file/un3pad6jb … WiFiUSB.7z  big_smile

This guy's more talented than me, though.  Somehow LinkSys certificates are included to override WHQL!  Could this drive sysadmins to substance abuse, should anybody be able to issue one (or even generic items - localhost, mailto...EEK)?
