note; removed Silicon's 3112 HWID from LSI megasas INI section.
Via sections, see above.

aha.. I recently installed VMware.
I thought it already worked in VMware?

Hi
the non-tagged generic matched HWIDS seen in other driver for other "mode", so I tagged it rather than prune it..

I think it won't solve this thing.
The driver in V4 says 5.1.6000.xxx where old drivers said 5.1.2600.xxx
Maybe XP thinks it is not suitable?

(oops, make that V1 )

Get better soon.

I made one small change to a generic in the non-pruned .. I added the CC_0101
(all other lines in there had the mode tag and this one was "for all modes")

The silicon image 3531 driver was added quite recently.

OverFlow quotes me when he says other Silicon Image drivers have been a thorn in our side.
Some of those can drive us nuts.

I've actually put their INI sections in blocks (non-raid sections and then raid sections) so that a user could ealily change load order of an entire block of silicon image.

I have not found a driver with your sound HWID yet.
I would like to see some links to the machine vendor's drivers.. I have no idea what this thing is.

Hi

please note that the drivers themselves got HWID pruned for PnP long ago, and it looks/feels an update caused this mess.

I've looked back at the drivers before the prunejobs were done (I figured pruning was needed, VIA had issues..)
I hope that the bus driver in V4 will work for older hardware supported in V3.
I remember we tried without V3 section, with V3 nullified and with different load orders.

I redid the TXTmode HWIDs for V3 and V4 moments ago, using the non-pruned driver.

I want to look at some SiLycon issue before I upload.

Hi
I looked at the driver and Like Helmi suspected, we already had support for all HWIDS.

We've just updated to a still newer version.

Hi
it got added in sound B;
D\SSMAJ.

CR7 had same version, but fewer files.
I left all files  from WU in the set.

hi

Hi, I started work on a few sound requests today.
(and managed to crash Excell)

Hi

it is not a stop 00007B and I think the error is caused by something else.
I noticed we do not have the sound HWID
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_284B&SUBSYS_408517C0&REV_03\3&21436425&0&D8
when I look for generic portion of this I do not find this part either.
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_284B

I suggest you try without the sound DriverPacks

My last real hands on experience with ghost was when I used 6.2 Corp.
After that, I used WDtools (free), maxblast (free), acronis (sometimes free. I have a NFR full suite), and paragon (a trial is free but I could get NFR full suite).
I have a boxed ghost 10 I never looked at because.. (Well, Because it is not Corp.)

I miss the command line for forensic (That was cool). I miss the ease of use.
I miss ghost.
But, I can do what I did in ghost in paragon and acronis, and the free hard disk managers by seagate/WD/IBM are good too.

I have not looked up price for the epson GT7000.
Many years ago Isabelle got her a really expensive scanner, worth € 429.99.
When XP Sp1 came around, the driver stopped working. DUH. It was an Epson, and they seemed to offer extended support for the lower class (sold in masses) and not for high end.
Many months later a new driver came up and I got it to work (some functions were still NO-GO).
SP2 came along.. Epson never posted a fix. That high end scanner ended in a tip.

Today's low end scanners cost a little as € 50. (and a  € 69.00 priced model I saw last week has all the tools and addons for film etc.. and outperforms Isabelles' by a great margin.)
€ 50.00 is about $ 80?
why are these drivers not for public?

I feel like a moron.
When I look back at what I threw at RC2 in Method 1, it shows I never tried to do any third party in M1.

Thanks.
I bet team members will try reproduce this in tests on new build.

Debugger posted a AMD cpu update in testing (not published, because the CPU is rare and we had no reports.), and RVM (once? Is it still included??) had a Intel CPU hotfix we have not yet seen a driver equivalent for.

Where are the CPU guru?

feedback and support is primarily meant for feedback on DpsBase.
I will move this to another forum.
Kind regards.. moved

Hi
I will repeat this tip.
if you want small size, then you could just as well learn how to edit the DriverPacks INI files and prune unwanted folders.

The advantage of this approach is that the INI will handle the exceptions you left in.
(prune means selective deletion of unwanted folders.. When there is a corresponding section in the INI file packed alongside of the drivers and you remove a folder which got referenced in the INI, then you edit that INI and remove the corresponding section.)

What is what?
The overview page has links to supported DEVICES, which is fairly accurate. smile

installed four such monsters yesterday/today.. http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.c … cleID=2045
TIP, they are a very good upgrade, but one should install these when you build the machine from scratch.. because you have to take the mobo out to put these on. I havent seen over 32C yet, with fan on LOW rpm.

edit; aha, 7zip is a good cruncher... uniextracted a zillion 7zipped files and see 40C at LOW rpm.. pleased.
still better; 7zip that zillion I unzipped, and it will go up to 46.. and no higher.. uniextract paused between windows? 7zip has been running for 7 minutes now? still hovering at 45.
Very pleased.
