I humbly thank you for all that you selflessly do.

Muy bueno!     smile

My mistake.  Catalyst 13.4 Legacy Beta is indeed non-WHQL.  Catalyst 13.1 appears to be the pinnacle of driver support for at least some similar hardware.  Have included your specific driver though.

Acquired some eWaste that enabled confirmation of function with Cat13.1 on a "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series".

If you have Atheros WiFi, download the D-P-C Driver Latency Tester linked in my signature and compare with WiFi enabled versus disabled.  The results have been dramatic on every such card i have tested thusfar.  On the HD 4200 it added a lot of stutter to my graphics tests.

Noting that powerxpresshybrid seems to lack a certain xml file.

That is a very limited pack.  A search of *.Inf 's by HWID (ie:  NEC67C0) should provide a simple "go/no go" answer.
I hope W7 allows that type of search.  If not, File Locator Lite (for corporate use) or Agent Ransack may be of assistance.

If you can provide a specific example or two of included HWID's that do not work, perhaps i can look into it in more depth.

Bigfoot seems to be handling the NT6 arena.
I am not one to step on anybody's toes.

My priority for now is to ensure the NT5 branch is concluded in respect to mr_smartepants, without whom the NT5 driverpacks would likely still be stuck in 2008-2010.  Thanks again, Mr. 'Pants!

Who knows what the future will bring though?  Hopefully a Retail License for 7 & 8!

It is on this page under "Latest Beta Driver"--> http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/w … iw-xp.aspx

On second thought, if all they have listed for changes is for one game and if Catalyst 13.1 didn't work for you previously, what would this driver do that previous drivers couldn't?

I have no answers as of yet, though am indeed intrigued, but in no rush.  Haste makes eWaste.    hmm

It contains the generic HWID PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9591 listed for

There has been some confusion as to whether or not it is in fact WHQL'ed though.
It appears to be.  Can you confirm or deny please, if possible?
Bear in mind lenovo's procedure for proper switching should you attempt this.

To check proper file copy, run "dxdiag" and "Save All Information" to produce a report.
I am only concerned with two sections.  One being listed under "Display Devices" concerning "WHQL Logo'd:", the other concerning the files for any Display Devices.

If it is not WHQL'ed as i have been told, it is possible that some files may end up copied from Driver.cab or SP3.cab.  A restart may be necessary for proper confirmation.

I do hope any issue with video playback has been finally resolved.
Additionally, GPU Caps Viewer by Geeks3D has been instrumental in diagnosing OpenGL, OpenCL, and CUDA issues.
Avoid the "Stability" or "Burner" tests!

Thank you for any feedback.  I look forward to properly crediting you in any changelogs, etc should you assist with testing this and/or any of the upcoming Graphics Nightlies which you will soon find in the Testing Forum.

The following WHQL'ed {DriverVer=01/21/2013, 1.0.38.129}
includes drivers for Alcor Micro USB CardReaders from XP to w8.

The XP driver is included in DP_Misc_wnt5_x86-32_1307171.7z
As per directives, there is no included icon support.

Additionally, I note that it does not allow SDHC to work on older cardreaders AFIK.

I thank you for your feedback Ra.

What of Catalyst 13.4 Legacy - Beta (linked above)?  That was released only 3 months ago.
In what way was video playback broken?

I'm "flying blind" here.  I need more people to "be my eyes" so to speak.

edit:  Noting that only one XP compatible package, out of perhaps 2 dozen or so, have PowerXpressHybrid.msi included for Catalyst Control Center.  I will enable that for CX105152.inf (8.771-100825a-105152C-Lenovo.2) for testing in an upcoming pack to be made available to the Testing Team.

Read this document for procedures on how to enable Switchable Graphics to work with XP in a limited manner.

Efforting to include driver from here --> http://support.lenovo.com/en_CA/downloa … MIGR-70366
to ensure WHQL status.

It would also appear that the general HWID PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9591 exists in
Catalyst 13.4 Legacy - Beta; also for "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650"

If you try either driver, please inform us of your results.

Even still; it is his work, he should protect his rights.  It isn't hard either.
GitHub has setup a page to specifically deal with the issue.

Uh, maybe he doesn't have to include a license to protect his work.

stamandster did say specifically that he did create it for the DriverPacks team.

There we have it, as clear as mud.  It would be best to have some input from it's author.     hmm

BTW, a similar program in the same topic written by llewxam looked to be imbued with a high degree of "wowness" too!

... updated lenovo power management driver & HP Hotkey Buttons keyboard driver.

The newly linked HP driver is the same version, yet the CPQBTTN.sys is different from what was in the pack previously.  They were both Digitally Signed Feb 24, 2010 @ 5:02:54 PM, yet the file sizes and sha1 hashes differ.  Therefore, the updated driver may be non-WHQL.

The KbdFilter driver included in sp59346 needs to be included in DP_HID_wnt5_x86-32.
Submit a request in an appropriate topic please Ra.
It is doubtful that i will be working that pack.

It is funny to see a driver from 2013 on a notebook from about 10 years ago!

Good eye, mate!

Could you elaborate please?  I cannot seemingly fix without further information or greater psychic powers.

PS:  Have you read the included DP_Displays_wnt6-x86.Notes.txt?  That might be of some assistance.

The cutting of path-length championed by mr_smartepants has been continued here.
Also included are three new drivers previously requested by Ra, whom i am certain will communicate how well this works out.

I do not see any WebCam driver in that package, nor the one listed by SamLab.
That only had an effects filter driver.  The only valid drivers are the ones posted by Ra.
MS Update Catalog has not been forthcoming either.

edit:  it could be that the package for the MS Cams might download the files required from the internet.
          ""LifeCam3.60\setupstb.exe" /SETUPMODE UI /SOURCELOCATION WEB"

I will do what i can to continue mr_smartepants' work to mitigate path-length of WebCam 11.07.

Finally.
Managed to get around to restoring the HWID's lost when the few included Vista drivers were removed back in May.
In fact, HWID support has been expanded for Acer, Gateway, and perhaps Packard Bell product.

This is based upon DP_Phone_wnt5_x86-32_100214.7z

It imports eyePhone network support, Toshiba F3507g Mobile Broadband (3G) & Android tethering options.

tetherxp.inf (et al) needs KB2807986 at minimum to help avoid vulnerabilities in the USB RNDIS service usb8023.sys

... and exported the Apple network driver to DP_Phone, same with the Toshiba 3G driver & Android drivers.
also exported the incomplete Toshiba Bluetooth drivers to DP_Bluetooth, as they interfere with the MS BT class installation.
