Thank you Jaak! smile
I'll test this when I get back.

I'm swamped with work here.  But I'll see if I can find some time to update the tutorials.  I'll upload/update when I get back to the real world.
If someone else wants to step up and help that would be great! smile

Hey, did you guys incorporate the AGP hotfix drivers (or rather the INF and reg entries) again?
As the 8.5 Hotfix have been released  (http://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAn … onID=31542)

I have my own test build on my desktop that incorporates the ATI hotfix.  Although, it does nobody any good since I can't upload anywhere! tongue
From what I've been able to determine, there are zero differences with the driver files themselves in the 8.5 Catalyst and the Hotfix.  All the differences are in the .inf file (reg entries).  These can be safely added by simply adding the hotfix .inf and .cat files to the A1 directory (even though the .cat file is not referenced in the .inf...dumb ATI).

My fix in the .ini was for the GART driver (not included in this test DP) where I mislabeled the tagfile as being in (location 11) C:\Windows\system32\  instead of (location 12) C:\Windows\system32\drivers\  like the .inf points to.

My guess would be a fault in the /search.php code since that affects all sub-functions.

It's OK, I got the info I needed from those Vista drivers.
Jaak, you have email! smile

OK, I'm trying to download the ASUS driver (over 100MB !!).
I'll make sure this gets added to the next DP.

Jaak, you have mail. smile

Oops, your server choked on the large filesize. sad

Nevermind, I found it on my notebook.
Jaak, you'll have mail tomorrow. smile

Jaak, I'll take a look.  I might be able to build the .ini/sfx for you and email it via gmail (20MB attachment limits).

Did someone move the SFX builder app that I uploaded to the 'temp' dir on the FTP server?  The link there is broken.

This should already be supported in the 8.5 Catalyst mobility.  I can't get it where I'm at.
I'll make sure this gets added to the 8.07 G_A when I get back from my trip.

<smacks forehead>
Doh!

Nice find!

Damn!  I thought we squashed the code-10 "device could not start" bug months ago.
I'll look into it when I get back.

Changed title to add [PROB].

Looks like I have some cleanup work to do in Graphics_C.
I can't get to it now, but I'll take care of it when I get back in about a month.

This DP 805B will be short-lived.  175.16 was released a few days ago (finally unified driver).  Catalyst 8.5 should be released this week.

Looks like it found it just fine.  If the driver didn't load, it would show up as "unknown device".
Was there a specific issue you noted?
Did you get a "New Hardware Found" dialog box?

BTW, we never use beta drivers, only WHQL.
Stability is our primary goal, not currency.

I'm not sure I like your tone either.  In your previous posts, you sound curt, even demanding.  Not once have you said "Please" or "Thank you".  Jaak is doing his best.  We all are.  We do NOT get paid to provide these DriverPacks.  We have real jobs that do not revolve around DriverPacks (or software).  We do so to help the common good.  We are NOT your personal code monkeys.
Might I humbly suggest you do one of these things:
1) Be nice, and say "thanks" every now and then for what we provide for free.
or
2) Make your own damn DriverPacks

if u know please ....

If you're refering to the warez version of our hard work, you'll get no help from us.

Oh, and welcome to DriverPacks.net! smile

There was an issue where the G_A dp was corrupted on the server.  You may have downloaded this corrupted DP.  Please try the download again and verify the MD5 hash.

Does the visual basic runtime need a login?
Otherwise you can use a VBS script (called from a batch file) like this:
Map.vbs

on error resume next
Set ObjNetwork = CreateObject("WScript.Network")
ObjNetwork.MapNetworkDrive "S:", "\\share-name\Drivers\"

Batch:

@echo off
Cls

TITLE ***Driver Updater***

echo Mapping "S" Drive
%Windir%\system32\cscript.exe //B %cdrom%\drivers\map.vbs
cd S:\Drivers

I've never tried it in this method (before login) so YMMV.

Welcome to DriverPacks.
Don't use a download manager, and check the md5 hash (if available).

At the moment, 64-bit is not supported, but eventually will be (some day).
DriverPacks support for Vista is in it's infancy.
Eventually, 64-bit support will come online.

When you install these drivers, is there a control panel installed?

LOL
I'm not bothered about it.  Just thought you'd like to know.  I have a custom DP for my Gateway, no problemo.
