DriverPack Graphics A 8.10 went final last week. We're waiting for Bâshrat the Sneaky to update the tracker.
Then we found a few minor errors. They are now fixed in DriverPack Graphics A 8.10.1 (not uploaded yet).
I'm now in the process of finalizing DriverPack Graphics B & C to 8.10.
Thank you to everyone who helped in testing. You all made this happen!
Watch the main page for the announcement (hopefully soon).
Strange, that card (fx 5200) is supported in the nv4_go.inf. Do you have driver signing disabled? Because that inf isn't signed.
*Edit, And that HWID is dup'd in the new DriverPack Graphics B nightly. I guess I have more work to do.
I'm going to disable that HWID in DriverPack Graphics A since the older cards don't react too well with the new drivers.
OverFlow wrote:is that somthing we could add to a folder (its own perhaps) then call from the finisher useing +hwids ?
There's no reason I can think of why it wouldn't work. I've been pulling off some crazy stuff with the DriverPacks Finisher
Ooohhh, ummm, errrr. Well, you can try it. I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work.
As long as you also include the unattended switches.
Fly,
those are one and the same
\$OEM$\cmdlines.txt is the way entries are made to be executed during RunOnceEx.
GUIRunOnce requires entries in a different area but both occur during the same step in setup.
Also, just because a file isn't referenced in the sourcediskfiles section, doesn't mean it's not needed. Sometimes that file may be called by an .exe (the .exe may be referenced) during install.
This is poor QA on the vendors part.
Hah!
I don't know if anyone has noticed or not but we have no official logo for either the website or the DriverPacks BASE application.
We need some graphics artists to come up with ideas (I can draw stick-figures, but that's the extent of my artistic skills).
This is your chance for fame and recognition!

ROFL
Ludicrous speed? Well that's just ludicrous!
I'll make sure this gets added to the next nightly.
There's already a thread for that problem in the "Testing Team" area.
Thanks Kay, we're already aware of the problem.
OK, so I have DriverPack Graphics A 810rc1 built and ready to go (not online yet). It's rock solid for me.
Right now it is EN-US ONLY for both ATI and Nvidia.
Additional language support and PhysX are added with 3rd party DriverPacks.
My question to everyone is what to name the language dp?
The available options are:
1. DP_Languages_Graphics_A_wnt5_x86-32_810rc1 (compresses down to DP_Langu.7z)
2. DP_Graphics_A_Languages_wnt5_x86-32_810rc1 (compresses down to DP_Graph.7z)
Any other suggestions? I'm all ears.
This will become final this weekend barring any showstopping bugs.
You'll need to post your log files as explained in this thread:
http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?pid=4#p4
We need that info before we can help you.
Put them both in the 3rd party folder, then integrate with DriverPacks BASE.
Updated first post with instructions.
I'm also going to try removing the languages from N1 and add to the CCC_lang dp (dp to be renamed) so the G_A dp is en-us only, then language support can be added as an extra dp.
Glad to be of service Sir!
First post updated.
rc3 included beta drivers. rc4 (now online) has the final WHQL package.
OK, once I get G_A rc4 out the door, I'll be all over G_B updates!

Lord isn't that the truth!
Without checking the .infs myself, my guess would be there are different reg entries (apart from the obvious w2k, w2k3, xp diffs)
Wow, you're working so hard, you're making the rest of us look slow!
Yes, and PhysX is back as a standalone installer!
Well, apart from the release DriverPacks (which are months out of date), I can't see anything that really stands out (apart from one glaring omission).
So let me get this straight.
1. You created the S.A.D directory and let BASE do it's thing to the following directory.
location= "C:\Documents and Settings\me\Desktop\Drivers"
2. (here's where it gets fuzzy) You burned "C:\Documents and Settings\me\Desktop\Drivers" to CD/DVD.
3. You inserted S.A.D. CD/DVD into target system and executed %CDROM%\DriverPacks.net\DP_Install_Tool.cmd
If you didn't do those steps (especially 3), S.A.D won't work. Also, method 2 leaves all the DriverPacks compressed in .7z packages. Windows can't use those by default.
newsposter wrote:changelog? I'm interested in the size differences between the last few nightlies......
The only difference between rc2 and rc3 are:
Added HWIDs to A1\mobility.inf
Added 25MB worth of language/locale files to A1\CCC\help & CCC\localization.

You should have zero problems!
But please report back if you do.
OK, NOW both mirrors are online.

So the "uploading now" part didn't throw you off?
It's STILL uploading (our 'official' nightly server is SOOOO slow). Mirror #2 is good though.
