I have almost your identical board: Gigabyte GA-EX38-DS4
I have Jmicron configured as AHCI, not RAID and it works perfectly.
Do you configure yours as RAID?
(I'm jealous of your quad-core!  I've got the Q6600) wink

Contrary to what you may think, everyone's opinion is valuable to us.  Half the time, someone just happens on this site by chance, posts a message like "why don't you guys do ABC instead of XYZ?"  And we're left reeling with the revelation "whoa, why didn't I think of that".  I realigned the graphics packs based on what I believed the best layout for the masses.  A lot of the other members of the team agreed, and now we're there.  I can definitely see your point.  And we'll take it under advisement.

You know, you can trim the DriverPacks to get rid of the folders you don't think you'll need (with the exception of dpms, modify that at your peril). wink
Just decompress with 7zip, delete folders you don't want, recompress with 7zip.

Sigh...
That's because Jaak did a LOT of work weeding out the duplicate HWIDs in the Realtek folders.  I updated the realtek drivers in the nightly, but I didn't weed everything out.  Jaak said he'd do that, but he's very busy with another M$ project at the moment.

Thanks for your input.  Although, I don't really understand what you're asking.
So you liked the old way, where the FireGL and Quadro cards were supported by DriverPack Graphics C.  The problem with that setup, is that both ATI and Nvidia have released unified drivers for those class of cards so that dp would have shrunk in size (cool, I know).  But on the other hand, all the cards supported by the old DriverPack Graphics B have splintered their drivers, so we had to include more folders.  By the time we added all the folders, that dp would have ballooned in size to well over 150 mb compressed.  Too much for my liking.
This is just a re balancing.
We have considered a DriverPacks D (or archive of 'D'erelict drivers).
We may do that in time.

In the interim, why not move your distro to DVD?  Media is cheap. smile

I think the PCIe cards came out after we built the current dp.  I had so many problems getting the control panel to work I gave up.  The drivers are no problem, but without the control panel, you don't have any 'control' over the functions.

That's a good find, and one I need to address.  That HWID is supported in DriverPack Graphics A, not B.  And it's in nv4_go.inf, not the signed drivers.
I've got the Dell drivers and I'll compare them with what I've got.
Thanks for reporting this.

SamLab, your posts don't tell us much info.  You only post HWIDs.  We also need you to post which DriverPacks, DPs_BASE.log & DPsFnshr.log (if needed).  Just posting HWIDs don't tell us anything.
If you have a problem with a particular nightly build, post in that thread.
Besides, your first post above has nothing to do with the original post, which is what OverFlow pointed out.

Sounds like a problem with the tool you used.  It looks like the tool uses dpinst.exe, but I don't know what switches are being used.  I've had success using /c /s /sh (console logging, silent, scan hardware).
BTW, if you had integrated DriverPacks, our S.A.D tool (which uses dpinst like I mentioned) would have done all this for you.
Otherwise, post this problem in the thread you mentioned above.  Maybe the creator of the tool you used will help.

Did you try to integrate DriverPacks into your windows install CD/DVD?  Or did you just try to run them after windows was installed?

The changelogs are part of the nightly builds.  DriverPacks Finisher won't move those.

Follow the instructions.
Post the items we need.

It's not a bad idea.  But only for the SAD option though. wink
I use my own autorun.inf, but Mark's right, make it newbie-proof but with the option to back out for pros.

That looks awesome Jeff! smile
Under \I1\HDMI, I'm not sure why it's not Id'd.  It's the HDMI driver for all the \I1 listings.

Intel(R) Corporation
IntcHdmi.inf

Same for \ND.  We'll have to watch for the 'blank' listings and update manually.
Any way of widening the "Name" column?

Great job Jeff!

Toprak,  The links you posted are for the additional DriverPack Graphics A addons (languages and PhysX).
The main DriverPack Graphics A download can be found on the 'overview' page here: http://driverpacks.net/DriverPacks/download.php?pag=ga
But currently the server is getting hammered and there's a "server unavailable" error.  Just be patient, and keep trying.  This happens everytime we have a major release.

The changelogs for DriverPack Graphics B & C aren't accurate.  Also, the "Devices" link doesn't show the changed folder structure.
I'd take a stab at it, but I'd just screw it up. wink

OK, I'm on it!  8.10.2 coming up!

Hmmm, that's interesting.  That HWID isn't supported anywhere.  Not even by ATI reference.
Where did you get the drivers to load?  Is this a Dell or other OEM system?
I can add this, no problem.  Just point me to the direction of the good drivers.

Well, that doesn't make any sense.  I just got done testing on HD3450 and it was perfect with 8.10.1 (only nvidia tweaks)
Oh, did you also use DriverPack Sound A nightly?  I removed the HDMI driver from DriverPack Graphics A because it conflicted with DriverPack Sound A \R3.

DriverPack Graphics A 8.10 went final last week.  We're waiting for Bâshrat the Sneaky to update the tracker.
Then we found a few minor errors. They are now fixed in DriverPack Graphics A 8.10.1 (not uploaded yet).
I'm now in the process of finalizing DriverPack Graphics B & C to 8.10.

Thank you to everyone who helped in testing.  You all made this happen! big_smile

Watch the main page for the announcement (hopefully soon).
