just installed windows 7 on an Hp 6653CL. The operating system seems to be working fine, but there are 2 drivers in the device manager screen which i don't seem to be able to identify; the hardware ids for the devices are:

pci\ven_1180@dev_0592@subsys_30cc103c@rev_12

pci\ven_1180@dev_0843@subsys_30cc103c@rev_12

Wondering if any of the resident Gurus have any idea what driver is missing.

Thanks for being here! We're glad to try and help.

It is the general consensus around here that Vista is a major memory hog.
It seems to need about a gig of ram by itself,
most people have reported two gig of ram is a nice number to start with.

so to keep your laptop perky running Vista you might want to check into that...

hmmm i wonder

when the bios on a motherboard is flashed the microcode on the porcessor may / will also be updated...

just a thought...

Debugger posted a AMD cpu update in testing (not published, because the CPU is rare and we had no reports.), and RVM (once? Is it still included??) had a Intel CPU hotfix we have not yet seen a driver equivalent for.

Where are the CPU guru?

Kindly help me with this my notebook once goes to standby cannot come out of it. Is it because of these missing drivers or due to nividia drivers?
If I uninstall video drivers standby option is grayed out and no more available but once I install drivers it comes back but cannot come out of standby. Firstly drivers were installed by driver pack then I uninstalled them install latest WHQL go driver, then uninstalled and reinstalled LaptoVideo2Go drivers but it still can not come out of standby.

I have reinstalled motorolla modem driver it is fine the serial one.
But
ACPI\GENUINEINTEL_-X86_FAMILY_6_MODEL_15\_0
ACPI\GENUINEINTEL_-X86_FAMILY_6_MODEL_15\_1

Both are shown as unknown devices. This model has santa rose processor. Does Xp support it?

I did add driver packs and third party pack too, card reader one, and added motorolla modem also. Can you suggest how to get these processor drivers.

did you use driverpacks to install? did you use the third party driverpack for modems?

if the answer to these questions is no perhaps you should read our FAQ

They do not have OEM support for XP intel chipest software update is also not picking anything

the devices are your dual core processor and your dialup modem

try installing the chipset driver from intel or your OEM

try installing the OEM modem driver

Also my notebook is unable to come out of standby I googled some suggest that it is because of faulty drivers.
