Topic: CLOSED: cmdow in DriverPacks BASE now classified as a virus in SAVCE v10.1

The latest Symantec Antivirus corporate edition with 06/07/2006 definitions now classifies the utility cmdow as Hacktool.HideWindow. Just an FYI since I know Bâshrat the Sneaky and other msfn based groups like using this tool.

This is already known.
There have been other posts before yours stating this, and would have came up if a search was done. wink

This is a false-positive. It is NOT a virus.
(FYI it was actually the 06-06-06 defs that this started)

A search of the forum for "hacktool.hidewindow" yields zero results.

Gah, I think you cannot link to search results as they only seem to get saved by session.

Anyway, either follow Siginet's link or enter "virus" as a search term yourself wink
