Topic: [NEEDS REPLY] Cannot integrate with driverpacks

I have created UXPCD just fine and working, after that I try to integrate it with driverpacks but it never get finished integrating. It always get my windows system get rebooted, some dialog box appear from windows OS itself telling about "get serious error" something like that and also about "drwatson".

I can provide you with DpBase log and ini files, but I dont know how to attach it here. So, I just put it here within this post.

Re: [NEEDS REPLY] Cannot integrate with driverpacks

That is something I have never heard of... And I haven't got the slightest clue what could cause this.

The only thing I can ask is this: how long ago did you install Windows on this system? Because it's definitely unstable if a non-CPU-intensive program like the DriverPacks BASE can make your pc reboot...

Re: [NEEDS REPLY] Cannot integrate with driverpacks

My system is just re-installed about 2-3 days ago, maybe some software cause this problem? if it is can you give it the list?

I have tried uninstalling some programs but no luck, If I'm not mistaken at the very beginning (pure) system (without any software installed, just windows) I can integrate it just find. Or is it because nlite?

I'm sorry, I cannot think of a single reason that my running my program could result in a reboot... I won't be able to fix this 'bug' I'm afraid... wink

Re: [NEEDS REPLY] Cannot integrate with driverpacks

OK, thanks for the reply.

It seems I'm going to try to uninstall one by one (until DriverPacks working), will give you the result by tomorrow wink

Re: [NEEDS REPLY] Cannot integrate with driverpacks

I've downloaded the new version of DriverPacks and it seems my problem goes away, thx a lot for "whatever" you fix in this new version wink

This time I'm going to integrate with my UXPCD, hope will work.
I'll let you know if everything goes wrong again. hehe big_smile

Re: [NEEDS REPLY] Cannot integrate with driverpacks

I had the same problem about 6 months ago, ran Memtest C86+ and found a problem.

Memory problems CAN CAUSE many of the problems with 2000/XP/2003 and Vista installs.
If I find a problem with installs I run Memtest and usually find a memory problem.

Just thought I would add my 2 cents worth in there.

p.s. Great work, how about giving me a January birthday present - MassStoreage ????
All the rest was a wonderful Christmas present

We're working very hard on that, with 3 people simultaneously wink (To get the Silicon Image problems solved.)

Re: [NEEDS REPLY] Cannot integrate with driverpacks

I have a couple of SIS 661 motherboards that also caused a lot of problems.

If you need someone to test this Chipset, please let me know.
