Topic: [REQ] Proliant ML 110 G7 new ID for HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID

%subj has new PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1c04&SUBSYS_3118103C for HpAHCIsr.sys HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller.
There is NO windows 2003 driver on vendor support page so i tried Windows 2008 32bit driver - and it seems to function.

I changed in file DriverPack_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32.ini line nr 407

from

ms_7_hwids="PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3a25&SUBSYS_3118103C,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3b25&SUBSYS_3118103C,PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4391&SUBSYS_1778103C"

to 

ms_7_hwids="PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3a25&SUBSYS_3118103C,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3b25&SUBSYS_3118103C,PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4391&SUBSYS_1778103C,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1c04&SUBSYS_3118103C"

and changed 3 files HpAHCIsr.* in \D\M\C to version 6.14.0.32

and is working - but of course is a little bit experimental :-)

probably the same can be done for

HP ProLiant Smart Array SAS/SATA Controller Driver  HpCISSm2.sys from

Actually, that first driver you linked to IS WHQL'ed for w2k, Server2k3, & Server2k8 (32 bit).

um.. that last driver link contains hpcisss2.sys (W2k3) , not HpCISSm2.sys (for XP), though.
Unfortunately in this case, no Win2k3 WHQL signature was included.  However; the executable is indeed digitally signed.

If it is indeed an update for the former driver (hpcisss2.sys), i have a prospect for you

This WHQL'ed driver {DriverVer=02/22/2010, 6.20.0.32} seemingly extends support to w2k, and includes new HWid's for:

"Smart Array P212 Controller", "Smart Array P410 Controller",
"Smart Array P410i Controller", "Smart Array P411 Controller",
"Smart Array P812 Controller", "Smart Array P712 Controller",
"Smart Array P711 Controller" & "Storage Works 1210m Controller"

Edit:  That driver already exists in DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_1209\D\M\C4

Unfortunately it also removes support for:

"Smart Array B400I Controller"

The latest update i see for the B400I controller & WHQL'ed for W2k3 is {DriverVer=01/07/2009, 6.14.0.32}

Thank you, i will try it.

Only note - yes you are right, IS WHQL'ed for w2k, Server2k3, & Server2k8 (32 bit), but you must
download it as 2008 32 bit driver - there is no official support from vendor for windows 2003.

I must wait for the HW from my customer, then i will send feedback.
