Topic: fake setup called himself instead original setup.exe

i was trying to upgrade my windows xp sp3 suddenly after reboot i got an error ' FAKE SETUP CALLED HIMSELF INSTEAD ORIGINAL SETUP.EXE' ERROR SETUP ABORT. now i cant access my windows . and i dont wanna loss my data programs, documents they are very important . so i tried to upgrade windows instead of formatting and installing new one.
So please suggest step by step procedure to deal this issue.

DriverPacks don't support Win32 "upgrades".  This is in our FAQ and Tutorial.  You'll need to back up your data then format and install clean otherwise you can install clean to a new hard drive and copy your files over.
(the winnt.sif entries break the win32 upgrade process).
I don't know how to fix what you broke.
