Topic: Where driver packs are decompressed during installation?

Hello,

I want to ask in which directory the driver packs are decompressed during the installation of windows xp from USB drive? Can i set a directory where driver packs to be decompressed when integrating them in the source with DriverPacks Base?

Thanks!

Re: Where driver packs are decompressed during installation?

By default the DriverPacks are extracted to %systemdrive%\D\ and that location can not be changed easily.
The folder is deleted upon completion of the install, unless you enable the "KTD" option (Keep The Drivers) which is NOT recommended for 99% of users.

Welcome to DriverPacks.  Enjoy.

Re: Where driver packs are decompressed during installation?

Thanks, i asked this because i want to delete the extracted files after the installation because i don't they to occupy space on my hard drive. But if they are deleted automatically there is no need to do this.
