Topic: [SLVD] Blue screen in VM (ftdisk.sys) when upgrating 11.09 to 11.11

Hi !
I've updated my drivers to latest version and I got this error :

Ftdisk.sys - adress...
Beginning dump of psychical memory

http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/5610 … t001mj.jpg

I suspect  DriverPack Mass Storage,that I updated from 11.09 to 11.11

Test is done in VM (Oracle Virtula Box)
Thanks for any clue !

Re: [SLVD] Blue screen in VM (ftdisk.sys) when upgrating 11.09 to 11.11

"ftdisk.sys" doesn't exist in dpms...any version of dpms.
Did you build your XP source from scratch?  Or did you just try to "upgrade" the dpms in your source?

You didn't post any details of what you did so your error may be entirely your fault.  We can't tell.

Re: [SLVD] Blue screen in VM (ftdisk.sys) when upgrating 11.09 to 11.11

Hi,sorry I'm new there.
I read this
http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=4623
and there is some around MassStorage

Attached DPs_BASE.ini  and  DPs_BASE.log  :
     http://www.mediafire.com/?q28yhbpniybnarm

I tried both upgrade/add drivers to my build, both have the same problem : blue screen.
If I add I386 and OEM folder from one old build (for Mass Storage version 11.09)
and create the ISO,all works fine.
Iso is created with mkisofs
I use
mkisofs -joliet -R -b grldr -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -o grldr.iso iso_root

Thanks !

Ah, Nvidia.  I was afraid of that.
I'll look into it when I have a chance.

Thanks,so what is the problematic pack,video/moterboard,... ?I want to roll it back to previous package version.
Thanks

Can you clarify?

I understand: you get a BSOD "Ftdisk.sys - adress..." at a virtual machine.
Which mass storage controller do you use inside virtual machine?

And there is a machine with a nvidia controller, hence not the virtual machine.
What happens at real machine?

Re: [SLVD] Blue screen in VM (ftdisk.sys) when upgrating 11.09 to 11.11

Hi cdob,I've deleted virtual machine,I'll recreate it and post results.
I tested my iso into VM but on another computer, there was everything fine.

Re: [SLVD] Blue screen in VM (ftdisk.sys) when upgrating 11.09 to 11.11

I've recreated the machine AND NOW IT WORKS FINE,previous machine  was created for W7,now is for XP
