Topic: Please help!

Hi I have a Foxconn p45a-s Mobo with a q6600 processor. I installed a new OS a few months back but I don't think I ever reinstalled chipset drivers and such for my mobo. I'm not sure if they get wiped out when doing an OS install but I am guessing they did. Anyways I mostly use the PC for gaming. I use a program call gamebooster to try to help me get the best performance from my rig. Gamebooster is suggesting two upgrades to my drivers--->

1. Intel(R) 4 series Chipset Processor to I/O controller - 2E20   version: 15.17.16.64.2302  release date 2/18/2011

2. Intel(R) 4 series Chipset PCI express Root port - 2E21        version and date : same as above

I've tried searching this site for something of the sort, maybe I could be pointed in the right direction?

Also if you have good knowledge on this subject could this possibly be affecting my Performance? I just upgraded my GPU to a geforce gtx560 ti 2gb and I get strage fps issues that I am not happy with.

Try our SAD2 utility.  It's pure magic.

Thank you for the quick reply! I downloaded the most current SAD2. Downloaded winzip to extract it and extracted it all into a folder in my 'downloads' directory.
I run the DPinstall tool as an admin.

One weird thing is that it says Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit on AMD64 CPU. I have an AMD cpu? I thought it was intel. anyways..

Preparing the Driverpacks now. method 2 was found.

Extracting Driverpacks from: (same directory as above)
Pop up window: Un7zip 'no files to extract' I hit "OK"
Next window pops up "Invalid files list order"  --->  Next window "Invalid files list is"

back to blue screen from the .cmd file --> The system cannot find the file specidied. The process cannot.. (window closed)

Either I don't have the files/folders set up properly? Or I am not using this right??

The batch file only reports what your system says it is.  To confirm, open a command window and type: echo  %PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE%
My Intel Q6600 reports as AMD64 also.

What the H3LL kind of path is that?  Remove the spaces and the exclamation point (!) and try again.  Or just move to the root dir C:\SAD2\

Yep I tried that in the command window and it told me AMD64. That is pretty weird.

Maybe I should change the code to report %PROCESSOR_IDENTIFIER% which my Q6600 reports as "Intel64 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 11, GenuineIntel" -- Im not sure what this means haha

Anyways I did what you said and extraded it all to C:\SAD2\
I ran it and it seemed to run ok this time.. unfortunately someone came to my door and when I came back the SAD2 utility was closed so I am guessing it did its thing. I assume I could run it again no problem, but I didn't see if it was able to find those two drivers I listed in my original post.

Looks fine to me.  You only added DriverPack Chipset?
You can add all the DriverPacks into their respective folders and the utility will upgrade all your drivers, not just Chipset.
I have a new version I'm working on to eliminate the "file not found" errors and add extra checking.

Wow thanks a lot for a program like this. I'm sure I don't even realize the full greatness of this but I appreciate anyone who tries to help others out!
And I don't know if I chose to add only the driverpack chipset or if maybe thats the only one I downloaded. I think most of my drivers are up to date now.
