Topic: usb disconnecting?

Hello everyone,
Just found this site and it seems great. Not sure where to post this, but I am using Windows XP. I have a 1.5 TB Samsung External hard drive. When I connect it to my computer, it is recognized and installs correctly. After a few minutes the external hard drive will disconnect and reconnect. It will keep doing this. I was told to uninstall the usb drivers. I tryed this and let the usb drivers reinstall, but the same thing happens. It says my usb is an Intel 82801eb chipset. The driver is dated 2001. Is there an updated driver that would help? The external hard drive works fine on my win 7 computer.
