Topic: [REQ] Sound for Several HP/Compaq
First let me tell you this is one of the best ideas ever. It is like doing a install with Linux, installs all drivers. Very good idea.
Hi to all, this is my first post whohoo. ok for the require drivers. Somehow the last update from the nightly drivers i think fixed that, but anyway just to make sure:
HP Pavilion ZV5000
Driver not working: Sound
Error: Installs Realtek driver but that is wrong, should be Soundmax or something similar
Alternative: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp28501-29000/sp28552.exe
Compaq Presario C500
Modelo: C551NR Notebook PC / C571NR Notebook PC
Driver not working: Sound
Error: Shows Audio Device for High definition audio bus
Alternative: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp35501-36000/sp35940.exe
HP Pavilion dv2000t
Driver not working: Sound
Error: Shows Audio Device for High definition audio bus
Alternative: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp35501-36000/sp35682.exe
Was gonna mention this three anyway but just saw the latest updates:

SIS\
Replaced missing .inf
SIS2\
Deconflicted HWID overlap with RealTek
<---- This is one of the problems i think on the models mentioned above

<---- This is one of the problems i think on the models mentioned above
Deleted
-Y\ Contained generic HWID (pci\ven_8086&dev_2485) conflicted with Realtek/SoundMax
<---- This is one of the problems i think on the models mentioned above
-zD3\ Duplicate with z2\
-zS2\ Duplicate with z2\
-zi\ Exact duplicate with z2\ and contained super-generics
To Do: Still HWID conflicts between C\ and SIS\
So basically either the DP crew has some mental powers that can read minds or i just got lucky.
