Topic: Do you have a XP pro driver for this device?

Hi, I am a newbie~

I am having some trouble understanding this whole o/s driver issue.

It's Intel 8255x Fast ethernet chip.
I have some problem installing the driver came with it(downloaded from Intel)

It installs as

VEN_8086&DEV_1209&SUBSYS_00000000

Then after reboot, ask for installation again then

installs as

VEN_8086&DEV_1209&SUBSYS_00708086

Is the subversion number important to enumerate devices?

Thanks~

welcome to DriverPacks

Q1
we probably have it fixed in the new release 805.3  (I could check the latest excell worksheet.. which is available to all..)
Q2
If there is something generic, and no subversion 'specific', the generic will grab it.
This can actually cause conflict when you have a large collection in the archives, so we sometimes have to try to filter out conflicts.

The answer was 42?
Kind regards, Jaak.
