Topic: Problem with Fujitsu Siemens LI 1705 laptop (and one or two others)
Everytime I try to use my DVD (using method two and text mode) with a Fujitsu laptop specifically LI 1705's I get BSOD and instant reset as windows is loading for the first time after having installed XP (first reboot after having entered Key, timezone and regional settings) If it didn't BSOD and reset it would be asking for if I want to activate now and Username. I thought this might be down to a driver conflict or Vendor ID mismatch on a device, so I created a cd with no update from Ryanvm and only mass storage driverpack, it still did the same thing, so I had to use a virgin XP Home SP2 disk and the old USB floppy drive and my F6 disk (lol I just almost pressed F6 to type F6!!!!!!) the SATA controller drive I used was VIAMRAID.SYS from VIAARENA.COM I got from the download. This worked fine.
Any Ideas????
Also I then had to manually install all the drivers, any ideas on any better idea than what I did, which was to extract all the driver packs onto a dvd and then use the Search removable media option in device manager, is there any way to make device manager automatically look to my usb key for all the unknown devices (and known for an update????) Many thanks in advance
