Topic: [SOLVED] Speed up an installation by drivers previously uncompressed ?

Hi, my typical Win Xp Professional SP2 installation process takes 26 min. With all the Bâshrat the Sneaky drivers and KTD on it takes 42 min though. Is there a way to speed it up ? I have noticed that decompressing drivers during install takes a few minutes. Is there a way then, to slipstream the drivers decompressed already ? I know that it would require more space on a cd/dvd disc, but since you can use a dvd disc, it is not an issue. Another thing is that the finisher takes roughly the same time to complete no matter KTD is enabled or disabled. Any thoughts ? Cheers !

Use method 1, without KTD. Then there's less compression. But because EVERYTHING has to be copied, it's actually slower.

The only way to make it faster, is by installing through imaging software.

Thank you for the reply, Bâshrat. And even more for the driver packs. I see that I cannot really make it faster. Anyway, I am amazed by this project and its usefulness. See ya around.
