Topic: [SOLVED] ATIIDE.SYS problem

Hello.

I'm having a problem during the text mode installation stage, just before I can choose the partition where Windows installs. The installer can't find the file ATIIDE.SYS, but the file is really in the I386 folder.

Here are my DPs_BASE.ini and DPs_BASE.log files:

Re: [SOLVED] ATIIDE.SYS problem

Possibly a bad burn. Please rebuild the ISO and reburn it to your CD-RW or DVD-RW.

Re: [SOLVED] ATIIDE.SYS problem

Thank you for your response, but I didn't burn it. I made the iso and tried it with VMware.

Then please recreate the ISO.

Re: [SOLVED] ATIIDE.SYS problem

Same problem, I burned it, and another problem added, my svcpack.inf was corrupted, I copy my "before drivers" svcpack.inf and added 2 lines, refeent to cats for sound driver.

I burned it in low speed constructed with cdimage CD, and same problem, ATIIDE.sys was not found...

Re: [SOLVED] ATIIDE.SYS problem

I've rebuilded the ISO many times and always the same problem.

Thank you

Re: [SOLVED] ATIIDE.SYS problem

Solved, my mistake, I have another folder with boot sector... VOL2, and I needed to move from I386 to VOL2 to function, sorry, but the another problem stills, I post in bugtracker...

Re: [SOLVED] ATIIDE.SYS problem

Ok, solved for me too. Thanks Bionicmaster for the clue. I'm making a multiboot DVD, and my boot folder hadn't the updated files. So, the solution is copy all the updated *.SY_  files from I386 to the boot folder and all works fine.

Thank you

Re: [SOLVED] ATIIDE.SYS problem

Please mention next time in your first post that you're using a multibootDisc. That's a critical difference! wink
