Topic: Slipstream Method

What is the difference between the 2 methods? I read the short description listed but not sure what ther difference is. Whic method installs faster during windows install?

Re: Slipstream Method

Method 1: uses CAB compressed files, which result in larger files to still allow windows to natively be able to unpack the archives.

Method 2: uses 7zip files which are extracted before the windows install starts, and have a higher compression, cesulting in smaller files.

...Method 2 is most used for UWXPCD's, because of the smaller driver sizes there is more room on a CD/DVD for other updates/programs or whatever.

Re: Slipstream Method

Ok so if room was not an issue and speed was go with method 1?

Re: Slipstream Method

Method 2 is superior IMHO.
