Topic: [SLVD]Blue Screen 0X000007E Between 11.08 and 11.09 (And 11.11)

We use the mass storage package on our revision of bartpe (XP sp3) on over 500 computer but we got a problem with one. It's a custom 1U server Unit that use a ICH7R Chipset. We seem to got 2 differents problems (We think)

1- We got a blue Screen when we pass the 11.8 version. We try 11.6,11.7,11.8 and they load to desktop but 11.9 and 11.11 make a 0x000007E Blue Screen on bootup.

2- On the 3 version that load correctly, we can't seem to get access to the raid, but every thing else work fine.

We try only the driver from Intel without the Mass Storage plugins and everything working, we get acces to raid and can browse.

the Raid compatible identification used by intel's driver and Mass Storage packadge is:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27C3&CC_0104

We try to replace the driver and modify the MassStorage compress file with our driver, but we dont seem to be able to identify our problems.

I wont list everything that was tried, it would be too long, but any new idea are welcome.

Thanks.

(By the way, sorry for the mistake, English isn't my first language tongue )

That's a special hardware and a special case.
A 1U server Unit may use common driver controller almost, but a special release.
A common ICH7R driver may work or fail.

Which custom 1U server Unit do you use?
Which driver does recommend 1U server Unit manufacturer?

Name full HardwareIds.
A common PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27C3&CC_0104 refers to common hardware.

How many hard disks do you use?
Do you require RAID configuration?
Can you use IDE or AHCI at BIOS?

BSOD 0x7e: false driver (version)

Just to make a precision, we CAN'T change anything in the computer Bios. This is a Toolcontroller pc and we can't modify anything, we use BARTPE for backup only.

In this instance the driver from M\I3\ is being loaded during txtmode.
Do you have a vendor link to the driver intended for that hardware?

Re: [SLVD]Blue Screen 0X000007E Between 11.08 and 11.09 (And 11.11)

We used the Intel Rapid Storage 10.8.0.1003 version on Intel website. If we Use only this driver without the mass storage package, every thing is working fine.

Re: [SLVD]Blue Screen 0X000007E Between 11.08 and 11.09 (And 11.11)

Just to keep this post open, any news on your side on what is the cause of the problem?

Re: [SLVD]Blue Screen 0X000007E Between 11.08 and 11.09 (And 11.11)

Well, in your situation, you could move your HWID from the [I3] section to the [I9] section to enable the RST 10.8 drivers for the BartPE plugin.  Then rebuild the dpms PE plugin.
