Topic: Why does my explorer.exe usage 50-60% CPU on Windows 7?

I have checked task manager and found that explorer.exe usages 50-60% of CPU, even in idle mode. My RAM is of 2 GB. I have checked out MS windows discussion forum, they suggested that this may be due to some corrupted file on desktop or in other portion of C drive. They also suggested to delete this file. I found a corrupted MP4 file, which is not deleting or even renamed (it is not moved to other drive also..) even at safe mode. I have tried a lot. But problem is not resolved.

Some of my friend suggested to stop explorer.exe and then delete that file. But after stopping explorer.exe, desktop files are not visible. How can I delete?

My laptop becoming too slow within 5-6 min after starting. It's also becoming too hot. Suffering from last few weeks. Please help me out.
